Re: the diamond is comming out on tuesday sept 2

You will be able to get the phone no problem but depending on your data plan you might not be eligible for any type of rebate.

I'm still amazed at how fast my friend can type on his 6700 versus my SIP on my Vogue. I've tried SPB full, PCM (with custom skins,) and none of them come close to the hardware keyboard.

With that said, I still can't decide if the hardware keyboard is important ENOUGH for me. What it all boils down to is whether or not the Touch Pro is a hell of a lot thicker than the Diamond--(for Sprint.) I keep hearing that the CDMA versions are very similar in size--and if that is the case, I see no reason to get the diamond....

Re: the diamond is comming out on tuesday sept 2

I remember seeing a MIB stating the data plan needs to be $25 or higher...or something like that.

We suggested the CDMA version of the Touch Diamond had eaten all the pies last week: Now word is out on its release and Sprint and HTC have chosen not to disguise it. Oh no... they've dolled that large rear-end up in a striking red color. Bizarre, though I guess its in the "if you can't hide it, make a feature of it" school of thinking. We can at least partly forgive its 0.55-inch depth, though, which is due to a 1350mAh battery. It's due out August 28th on Sprint, costing $549 for the bare phone, and $299 on a two-year contract. giz didnt do their homework. that article ultimately leads back to the same phonearena article engadget linked to a ways back, which has been updated again to reflect sept 2.

4mm is still a pretty significant difference. Think about the huge difference in thickness between the Titan and the Vogue (which is 4.6mm, by the way). On paper it doesn't sound like much, but in your pocket you'll notice the difference. Probably going with a Pro eventually myself though, as it's not that big of a deal to me.

Re: the diamond is comming out on tuesday sept 2

Isn't it odd that Sprint hasn't officially announced when this phone will be available? They advertised the crap out of the Instinct, but haven't said a word about the Diamond. If this is a highly anticipated phone, shouldn't they at the very least give us some indication of when we can purchase it?

Or is their marketing/advertising team on vacation after all the hard work they did on the Instinct?

exactly! My vogue with the mugen extended battery was still smaller than the mogul... but it is a deal to me, so i'm on the diamond.
