ya sprint is out of the new 6700's and refurbs show up about once every 3 days or so... if you come in on a day we have no recons available to order, we have been upgrading customers into 6800's. Most are excited, but a few are pretty dissapointed.

Either way its a good deal for most people, i would fight the upgrade personally though hehe.

Last Thurday, I walked into my local Sprint Repair Facility (I live in Dayton, OH). Handed them my phone, and said "The phone won't boot, and when in the cradle all i get is a red light in the corner." I had dropped it the night before and the sound hasd stopped working (like the headset was still plugged in). i banged it arround for about 30 minutes and really messed the phone up. I have never had a replacement plan on a Sprint phone and I had gotten the phone 2 weeks prior off the internet (ebay for 187 bucks), activated it on my plan, and flashed it the WM6. The guy told me it would be $35 to fix the (uninsured) phone, but it could cost as much as $55, and to come back in a half hour and he handed the phone to the Tech (girl behind then glass wall). I had an go to the other side of town for work, and when i came back, 50 minutes later, they handed me a new in box HTC Mogul (there was never any discussion of a Refurb 6700), activated it, charged me the 35 buck, and sent me on my merry way.

So, i spent $187 for the phone, I may have been charged 19 buck to activate the 6700 (not really sure about that part), and then spent $35 to replace it with a 6800. I went from a Samsung a900 (which has been nothing but trouble) to a Mogul for just under $240. How sweet is that.

Agreed. That can't be good, but I'm sure it has to do with end-user software issues that cause noobs (or Blackberry users, no offense) to send in their phones because they're "broken..."

Well, my sprint in san jose CA just repaired mine (today), so your mileage may vary.

Since I'd rather have a 6700 anyway, it works for me

i did thats what they told me over the phone. I went in and they said sorry cant get any more 6700s. They ordered my a new 6800 that I can pick up on friday free of charge. I had to flash back to the stock rom so its either wait till friday or flash back tonight then reflash back to stock friday. i might just deal with it for a few days

I recently downloaded ArcSoft's MMS application. After downloading the registry editor (phm regedit), I was able to send pic and video mail from my mogul. The only problem I have with the program is that I have to type in the phone number before I send it. Because the mogul spoils you during the message process by letting you type in the receipent's name, I don't know a lot of my contact points by hard, and find it a tad bit bothersome to toggle between my phone book and my MMS account. Is there a hack/link that will tie my contacts to my MMS account?
