Yep that is correct. But since smartskey basically gives you the windows key functionality on the softkey I always assign vjcandelalite to my windows key--that allows it to easily turn on and off.

Has anyone found a solution to the answering in speakerphone problem. This is begining to happen to me, nad really the only thing I changed was adding the OEMinizer to my Kitchen. I am going to try and see what happens with this removed, just is very weird behavior. In addition to the speakerphone issue, everytime this happens I get "Error Code 35: Network Error Please wait a moment and try again"

I flashed to a fairly basic 1.04 on Sunday night and noticed a strange issue yesterday. With the previous 1.02 kitchen (and all before that) and the same basic apps, when the phone was in the cradle (power and usb cables connected) the phone would still sync with my exchange server for email/etc. But now I'm on 1.04, it will only sync when not on USB. If I go to activesync and hit the sync now button it just gets stuck on "connecting". As soon as I remove from the cradle it connects fine.

Any thoughts?

Phone automatically answering in speakerphone

I have just started experiencing the phone automatically answering in speakerphone as well the last couple of days. The only thing I changed was adding GB Soft Tweak using the cab file. I will try removing the program and see if that makes a difference.

I'm currently unable to replicate this issue. Would folks experiencing their phone answering in speaker-phone mode please provide more details of their ROM configuration?

-Which specific kitchen options are used?

-Does the problem persist if you hard reset your phone (i.e. host both softkey buttons and press stylus reset)? Be aware this will clear all data not stored in the ROM.

-Is everyone seeing the "Error Code 35" error, or is that just bmtbandit? And can more details around when/where the error appears be provided?

I have had this (or a similar) issue since the first 3.5 roms. A common way (for me) of reproducing it is:

- start Internet Sharing without USB plugged in
- click Connect, wait for #777 to complete dialing
- Plug in the USB cable
- Wait for PC to acquire IP address and PPC to indicate Connected status
- call the PPC from another phone
- when phone rings, instead of clicking the Answer button, unplug the USB cable
--> the phone will auto answer in speaker phone.

The solution for me is to answer the call before disconnecting the USB cable.

Getting pop-up error during build about temp\dump\dpst.dpst

After deleting EVERYTHING from the temp folder (including sub-folders), and selecting a number of desired packages followed by clicking the 'Play' button in the Build utility, I get a pop-up Error window with the following message:

The file 'temp\dump\dpst.dpst' already exists.

At the time, the status line at the bottom of the screen shows:
Error, last status: "Processing: OEM\Optional_ExtROM_Cellular_South_2_11_702_OEM1_0 _0"

(I had selected Telus Mobility)

The problem still exists even if I only select Telus, and skins for Calculator & Keyboard.

Does anyone know if there is a work-around solution ?

temp gets deleted on every build, so don't worry about it being a leftover from something else.

Your problem is you've selected two OEMs that include the same named file, dpst.dpst. One of those OEMs is Optional_ExtROM_Cellular_South_2_11_702_OEM1_0_0. To find the other one, you can do any one of the following:
  • 1) Review your selections by hand...did you include 2 carrier selections? (This is your problem unless you've been adding OEMs yourself)
    2) search OEM folder for dpst.dpst...see if you selected 2 or more of the OEMs ti finds dpst.dpst in
    3) add a file called dpst.dpst (doesn't matter what it contains) to SYS\OS - your next build will break on the other conflicting OEM - dont' forget to then delete the dpst.dpst you added to SYS\OS.

I flashed a new ROm minus GB Soft Tweak, and so far have not gotten the Speakerphone issue. Basicly the phone starts ok after a hard reset, then after the first soft reset, the issue occurs. When it happening its probally a 90% happening 10% not ratio. I can give a full list of OEMs, but the only three new things I added this go around were VZW Wireless Sync, GBSoft, and OEMizer. I have already confirmed it still happens with the removal of Wireless Sync. So thats not it. I will post back if the problem occurs without GBSoft, but right now I am almost 15 hours, tried 10 soft resets, and no problem.
