Not sure if this is a bug or not but...
I've got a 1.04 "clean install" - basically no extra OEMs, just what Helmi had in the default kitchen. I disabled the Smartskey app because I was having problems with it. What has been happening since I installed this ROM is that when I have a meeting reminder 15 minutes before a meeting, it vibrates, makes a noise, pops up and then immediately goes away. What it used to do was pop up and then the left hardware button was "Dismiss" and the reminder wouldn't go away until I dismissed it. Now it pops up and dismisses automatically. Any idea if this is just a setting somewhere? |

However, in the next day or so I will do the search you selected - maybe I'll find something that I can deselect.

Andrews, I had the same problem using Big J ROM. I have not seen that problem since I reflash it with the recent Kivin's ROM.
I hope this help in your troubleshooting. |

Don't know if someone else has seen this but I found the OEM_FieldTrial.exe folder missing some items. I used the tools folder items to make a working OEM. I will try to attach it. ( No luck on that, Ha Ha. ) Any help from others to get it to the FTP is welcome.
OK. I give up for the next few minutes. I'll be looking for a "how to" post and get back. I think I'll P.M. a Moderator. Still not able to "Add" |

I included the OEM for MS Voice Command 1.6 (US) in my ROM. I assumed you simply left out the .exe (to avoid copyright issues), so I copied my own backup .exe over to /windows. I mapped the program to the windows button (button 1). My only problem is that it makes the "I'm listening" sound even when it is in vibrate or silent mode. Granted I'm not going to be giving voice commands in a setting where I need total silence, but I could still accidentally hit the button and make the noise. Anyone else have this problem?

It was kinda strange, before I changed this the PPC would slow to a crawl any time activesync tried to do the exchange sync (I schedule it every 10 mins to save battery over direct sync). Now this gives me a new question. What does this option do? Is that what enables me to use the phone as a wireless modem? I was using PDAnet before, but doesn't the new kitchen allow the phone to act as a modem without it?

I just noticed a problem with my two phones. It doesn't appear that they can beam to each other.
Before I reflashed my wife's phone I beamed her contacts to my phone and it worked just fine. Now when I try to beam from one to the other, nothing happens. The beam screen comes up and then it can't seem to find the other phone??? Any help, pulleeeez Thanks |

try going to programs/settings/connections/beam and make sure the box is checked on the phone that won't accept the beam.
