Noooooo

Well that's poopie. Ok, Is it enough just to turn off the battery display in the bar, or do I need to remove it completely from the rom?

Ok... turned on the redundant clock in the top bar, soft reset... started data session... wait wait wait......

No joy. So, I guess I gotta pull it out and rebuild the rom. Meh. I think I'll just go with the greenbattery and no idle arrows

Not sure if this has been reported in another thread, but I noticed a bug with Spb PocketPlus and WM5Storage today. I found that if I have PocketPlus (integrated with Spb Diary) on the today screen, WM5Storage will kick out an error saying the Storage Card is locked and cannot be used.

I've tried removing the storage meeters from the Home screen (on PocketPlus) but it doesn't help. I should still disable one thing at a time from Pocket Plus to see what the exact culprit is, but haven't had time. The only fix I have found sofar is to temporarily disable the Today Plugin and then run WM5Storage.

Nah I believe the WM5torage issue is just caused by Diary period. I have always had that issue with Diary (even installed by cab). For some reason it locks the storage card at times, meaning that wm5torage can't take control.

A soft reset fixes it, but it's still annoying. Hopefully SPB fixes that in their next version of Diary.

D@mn... that is annoying. Soft reset doesn't seem to help for me, storage card is still locked. Only thing that helps for me is removing it from the Today Screen. Oh well, at least I know it's Diary and not something strange with the OEM.

  • Go to settings for Spb Pocket Plus
    Highlight Today Plug-In
    Push Feature Options
    select Appearance Tab
    Exit out of everything.

Edit: Spb Pocket Plus included in the 1.0.4 kitchen definitely has problems - it even causes weird issues with other unrelated software packages. Reverting to Pocket Plus from the prior kitchens resolves the issue.
I stand corrected... it was late, I meant PocketPlus OEM and not Dairy was the culprit causing issues in this latest kitchen. Reverting to the older OEM solves many issues it seems.

I've added these OEMs to my ftp dir (ftp://ftp.ppcgeeks.com/Apache/New%20...OEMs/GGuruUsa/):
  • Slide2Unlock 1.19
Total Commander public beta 3 (kitchen had public beta 2) - public beta 3 is a lot bigger, not much different.
PocketController Pro v6.01 - you'll need the PC software to use this
OpenVPN - not fully tested yet, but should work.
I've also added:
  • OEM_MyCustomSettings - stick your personallizing stuff in here (like OwnerInfo and weather update settings)
PocketPlus_3.2.0 OPT - a fixed version of the OEM in 1.04.
    SPB_CoreFiles - added \windows\startup .lnk
SPB_Mobile Shell 1.5 - has fix for citiesDB.dat, defaults to no weather updates
    SPB_Weather 1.7.6 - has fix for citiesDB.dat
WeatherPanel - defaults to no weather updates, no version updates, forecast for KC removed
Anyone had any success getting PCM keyboard (from the same guy who wrote PocketCM) to load?

BTW, I left most of my settings in OEM_MyCustomSettings for demonstration purposes - they may or may not work for you, use at your own risk.

Whoever asked for the NoviRemote OEM - it's really not practical. The application is tiny and the skins are gigantic. No gain from putting in ROM.

I posted an app I wrote to play a sound when the keyboard slides in/out (or screen changes orientation) called SlideSound that works on Apache.

If anyone is interested in it for their rom, all files can be placed in \Windows and the registry keys for the sounds are...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SlideSound\]
"SlideIn"="PathToYour.wav"
"SlideOut"="PathToYour.wav"

Don't create a startup file though, as the application itself writes one and needs access to remove it. SlideSound.exe is the config panel for it and SlideSoundService.exe runs in the background, if you want to add shortcuts.

I am using the Tasklaunch app and everytime I soft-reset it goes directly to that program... is there a way to run it minimized or make it not automatically pop up?

Also, when softresetting, sometimes I hang on WM screen, just need to keep doing it until it decides to go through... sometimes 5-10x. Is there a fix for this?

Otherwise.... I'm in love with my phone again thanks to this new kitchen!

Bug in the initflashflies.txt for that one
Directory("\Windows\GFX\Res"):-File("BTooth.bmp","\Windows\S2U_R.BTooth.bmp")
should be:
Directory("\Windows\GFX\Res"):-File("BTooth.bmp","\Windows\S2U.R.BTooth.bmp")

Otherwise spot on. Thanks!
