Fantastic so far:

A few comments -

1) make sure you do the radio update (to 1.41) along with this ROM update. I have no EvDO to 1X problems at all

2) I have also experienced the reminder button not working. Happened once - soft reset cleared it up

3) I'm still having significant bluetooth problems. I have a Jawbone headset and I hotsync over bluetooth. Occasionally, I'll try to initiate a call from the Jawbone and it won't work. I check the 6700 and bluetooth is not running in the comm manager. I restart bluetooth and it still shows at not running. After several other tries to restart, it will eventually show it is running. At some point, I just have to soft reset to get bluetooth to perform well again.

Not sure if this goes here or not, but as I am "cooking" when I attempt to use BuildDsm.exe I get the following:

"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

Builddsm requires mfc80u.dll and msvcr80.dll (download at www.dll-files.com and put into the same directory as builddsm.

Most computers already have those two dlls but if yours doesn't (are you running Windows 2000?) then you'll need to add them.

Been running the 1.04 ROM for three days now. No bugs to report. :P
Tested the following & seems to be working well:
usb & bt internet sharing
bt headset (Motorola H700)
bt gps (i-blue)
Only one little issue but no complaint...phone seems to come on on it's own and connects to data. This probably the weather program is trying to update. This is minor and could easily be fixed with a little digging.

I'm on XP Pro with the latests updates... Not sure why I don't have them. I did have to install dot Net last night though. Never had a need for it I guess before

Are these DLLs part of dot Net? Because I hadn't rebooted after installing dot net last night.

Still no luck. Same error. And I had the msvcr80.dll on my PC already, but not the mfc80u.dll.

Trying to drag "optional_phonealarm" onto it.

if you visit v8eaters dot com /builddsm.JPG you verify my TOOLS directory.

Uh... how long should I wait before saying the dormant EVDO arrows still don't happen?

Is it hours? Days?

Why might mine not be going dormant?

Well first off--what phone skin are you using.

Then--are you adding any OEMs not in the kitchen? You might need to list them and I can help you narrow it down.

I'm using....

Lots of stuff But let's say I soft-reset. This is what's running (and the arrows stay solid if I force a connect via pie, for example)

The phone skin should the the crossbow skin out of the kitchen

Extra OEMs - nothing like wisebar, but I do use "jimmy's green battery fix" to change the battery display - that's the only thing mucking with the top bar at all.

On the today screen I have
rlToday
Messaging
Calendar+
TasksPlus
Segman's Launcher,
O2 Last call

InClose (x) thingie...

That's it.

Slide2Lock is running as the locker.

Arrows didn't change with slide2lock disabled, or rlToday not installed, guess it could be the greenbatteryfix thing? I think I'd rather have a decent battery display then the arrows, if that's my choice - It didn't used to bother the AKU 2.2 version of the rom (actually, other then Slide2Unlock and rlToday, nothing much has changed in my setup since 2.2....)

You nailed it. Nix the greenbattery and you'll get your white/grey arrows.
