hey quick q'stion, i just loaded slider_beta_2 and i'm watching the Space Avail: and the # next to it keeps going down everytime the animation on "slide to unlock" goes through. Is it only happening to me?

But everytime i exit the slider, there's no change in my memory, program space, and SD space.. *shrugs* idk...

I did realize that the slide is very chopy when it's sliding bak, and also the animation on the "slide to unlock" is also chopy... anyone else seeing this?

Again this all for the slider_beta_2 haven't tried the 3rd yet, i will tomorrow...

thanks again Andason... btw i would give u info on the battery, but i never really saw any prob. w/ it when i was using the slider, but i'll keep an eye out and c if i do see any heavy draining.

One other thing i did forget to mention... the incoming call screen seem to b working great.

One thing i'm seeing that wasn't on the previous slider was, when i get a txt message (a single txt message) while the slider is active, and i unlock the phone, on the top (where the notification is) instead of it showing the evelope symbol for txt i get the little chat bubble, u know the bubble u get when u have say, multiple notifications, like a missed call as well as a txt message. just something i saw happening now that wasn't happening in the previous version of the slider...

I'll c if slideab3 fixes that, when i try it out tomorrow...but right now i'm off to bed.

slideab3 should appear much smoother on the slide to unlock and the animation.

I removed the files started over again and realized the task launcher was needed.So finallly I got the program up and running.Now for a few more questions,is it possible to make all the icons functional on the main screen?Some of them work like sms and phone but what about settings and ipod.I get error messages with them.I also read that there was a way to make the launcher open up automatically with power on.I'm sorry if I missed all this somewhere in the post. Thanks

To make all of the icons work, you will need to edit the config file. You have to install the programs and make the icons point to the appropriate installed program. The ipod icon for example should be tied to ppod. If you do a search you can find that program on this forum somewhere.

On another note, if you dont want the task manager you do not need it. The slide lock works independent of the launcher program, it just happened to be tied to one of the shortcuts. If you did want to use the launcher though, you should be able to just place a shortcut in your \windows\startup folder and be set on powerup.

The slider seems to be working well, except that it seems to lose the information for the last call. I got a call last night before I went to bed, and when I turned the slider on, the name and number showed up. This morning the same number showed up, but the name switched to 'unknown caller'.

I assume I need to download the prgram from arianesoft to be able to configure and connect the icon buttons?If so can I use the same program to point the contacts softkey to the contacts scroller program?Thanks again for all the help I love this phone more and more every day!

You do not need the program from arianesoft unless you want to do some programming on the source code. In order to configure the buttons, you need to find the config.ini file. It is in the same folder as the launcher.exe. Open this with a text editor (you may need to change the .ini to .txt, edit, then change .txt back to .ini) Use the .ini file to setup your buttons.
As for the contacts softkey, that is a registry edit. I don't recall the exact location, but if you search around on the forum, you'll find how to change the left (or right) softkey.

It is just the .exe replace slide.exe with this one.

I think the unknown issue with the caller name is corrected.

Also, tweaked some issues with the battery usage.

By the way.. if you wish to use a standard wallpaper (no rotating) change rotatingwallpaper = 0 and make sure you have a 0.jpg in your res folder.
