andason, I'm glad to see you're still digging. I've found it's so much easier to squeeze in 30 minutes to do this while at work, rather than at home. For some reason my family wants to see me while I'm home. The only problem is, I don't want to license PPL on my work machine cuz it's not my computer... wonder if they'd let me install the license on both machines. I'd only be using one at a time, so...

(c) Home Use. You, as the primary user of the computer on which the Software is installed, may also install the Software on one of your home computers. However, the Software may not be used on your home computer at the same time as the Software is being used on the primary computer.

Hope to see ya get in it again. I have a small memory issue with the app once it changes the wallpaper.. I may go ahead and release the "beta 2" regardless to see if others have the same problem. i don't notice the problem when it is running on my pc.

Battery usage

I was noticing that my battery seemed to be running down faster than usual as of late. So I grabbed a copy of acbpowermeter and ran that. Turns our that just running the slider (with backlight still on and pocketpc awake) my power jumped from the normal resting 45-90mA (with backlight on and pocketpc awake) to ~250mA. Not really sure what is using that much battery. Maybe the animation on the slider or something; I'm not using the changing backgrounds. So that is something to look into for the next beta.

I'm loving the contacts app btw. I checked out the original thread on xda-dev and the guy has updated it again to display contacts correctly and better scrolling and he's still tweaking it. Here's the link to the thread if anyone wants to check it out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303045

I saw andason researching a method for reducing that battery drain. I have tested a build by A_C that drops that battery usage from 250 down to about 70. If we can figure out that code, and get it properly implemented, then we should be able to see the same results.
