I also noticed that the incoming call screen now comes through fine. There does however seem to be an issue with text messaging. When a text message comes in, that notification window also comes through. If I were to hit 'go to' with that window up, the slider closes. As far as a locking app, I dont think that is the desired behavior.

For battery usage, please post results with slide program running:
1. slider all the way to left for more than 10 seconds, backlight on
2. slider halfway and held there for more than 10 seconds, backlight on
3. slider all the way to the left for more than 10 seconds, backlight off
4. slide program not running, backlight on
5. slide program not running, backlight off

4 and 5 have been answered. Can we get 1, 2, and 3?

Andason, looks like the new code reduced battery usage by about 50 mah. Used to be ~250 mah for #3, now it's ~200. Good, but hopefully it can get better. Just to confirm, einsteinx2, you are using andason's latest, correct?

so yea i just downloaded the latest release and realized that if u take the slider and move it to the left a little, the animation on "slide to unlock" becomes very chopy. I first realized it when i kept sliding the slider 3/4ths of the way and then releazing it and then doing that a multiple times and all of a sudden it got chopy, and then i closed the app reopened it and then moved the slider to the left and bam, the animation got chopy. Then i moved it a little to the right, and bam, it was fine again.. lol just thought that was interested. *shrugs* idk if i'm the only one this is happend to... it's not really an issue or anything 'cause unless ur sitting there just moving the slider up to 3/4 of the way to the right there's no issue.

So yea thanks once again ur guys... great job.

O btw, in this version... Andason or 6700yuma is there any way to not have the # showing up on the "last call" area. I just wanted the name of the person that called and not the name and the #.

Send a message via ICQ to andason
Man, how do yaw get time to do this on a monday?? : )

The animation slow down when the slide is completely to the left was intentional. The code is wrote so that if you touch the arrow, regardless of it's position, you will have "full power" and if the arrow is untouched and fully to the left it will cause the program to sleep. I think it was 250ms.

If you leave the animation off, it is totally unnoticeable. But there is other ways to achieve the power reduction, this was just the one I started on when I learned how to let the caller id to come through.

Regarding the text message notification bleed through. I believe if we let one in it will all come in. So unless you disable the text message notification I'm not sure of any other way to prevent it. But in my situations if i read or dismiss a text message, it goes back to the slider.

Regarding the quality of the text.. I believe this might be due to some of the jpg's. I noticed the afternoon one (#4?) is really rough. I had to replace it already on my ppc.

very nice. Yea sometimes after replying the txt or answering the call, the phone will go bak to the slider, and sometimes it just stays open until i hit the slider icon on the top (the top task bar, right next to the start menu, where it shows wat's running/open). But if it's a txt, i usually hit the "negative space" (the white area where the txt doesn't show through) and it goes right bak to the slider.

I'm still using the "Slider_Beta_2" (i believe that's the proper name) cause the caller id comes through. I did try the latest and in the beginning everything was fine and then my incoming calls weren't showing up... it was the same prob. as the first slider...where the caller id wouldn't show the whole thing. IDK i'm liking Slider2 out of all 3. I'm sure everyone is different...

No i don't use the wallpaper animation, although i love the idea of it changing according to time. I just stick to my image of Hayley, yup still w/ her pic lol.

samshady, you should just be able to replace the old slider files with the new ones (i.e. delete the GFX folder, slide.exe, and slide.ini and replace with the newest ones)
