Error in Slider versions after 1.5

Great App.

I'm getting the following error on the slider... a few minutes after it starts up... apparently in response to some unseen event in the system background since the slider is fully functional until the error occurs. I can run version 1.5 and prior of the slider (and still am) prior to the adding of the latest configuration options as well as the animation in the slide area. I tried turning off the animation but the error still comes up. I'm running WM5 on a Sprint PPC-6700. I get the same exact error with the recent versions of the slider from that other forum as well.

OK, I'm 90% sure that the error of loading the slidelock a second time is fixed. I set mine up to autorun when I wake up my phone. I turned my phone on and off several times, each time waiting 30 seconds before changing to the next state, and got no errors at all. I have let the program run for an hour, no errors. I have ActiveSync'd with the program running, no errors. Can it still be broken? Probably, but give this a try.

Got the error, pulled until fixed.

Well, finally, I think I've got it. I now get no errors when running a second time, none when turning the PPC on and off multiple times, and none during an ActiveSync. Please try to break it and let me know how it goes!

So far so good on my previoulsly reported error in ver 1.5+

I've been running it for about a half hour now and have let the unit sleep, powered it down, unlocked and relocked, and various combinations and repeating of the above and have not received the errors I mentioned in my prior post. In the past I received them almost immediately (within a minute or two after starting the slider) so I'm willing to say that those problems are gone in 1.9. I'll keep a lookout for additional issues.

Love this app! Screen locking on the ppc-6700 was the one thing that kept me from being satisfied with this phone (I can't tell you how many unexpected calls I made with this phone before I found another acceptable lock program. The problem with that program (MortSaver) was it required that I waste a button to unlock it and it would not reliably unlock in response to a clock alarm, thus causing me to miss the alert. This app conquers both hurdles, so thanks!

I'm very glad to hear it. Your comment about being OK with 1.5 and prior is really what led to the problem being resolved, so thank you!

I get a "PPL Runtime Error" when I try to use slider from either 1.7 or 1.9 cab , on startup in the "device lock" / "run program after lock" option.
I get same problem using either "BigJ Mario" latest rom or "Colonel 3.5.8" latest rom.

How would you guys suggest getting just the "slider" to run on startup? What am I doing wrong?

Send a message via ICQ to andason
Start up or power on?

For start up simply copy a shortcut to your startup folder.

For power on use a program to create a notification to start the app on power on.

I use taskmanager.

Is there a way to get the device locked totay screen plugin to point to the slide.exe? I dont have ilauncher or clauncher...and I prefer not to use them because I like to keep my phone simple. Or a way to tie the slide.exe to run once u power off the device? Or how about it having a timer where it runs after a certain amount of inactive time...like the password feature?
