Does the ROM have to be installed off the SD card or can you use the traditional method with a PC (running APACUpgradeUt_noID.exe)? Thanks.

*** Sorry, I misread it. Sounds like you only put the BOOT folder on the storage card. But can I not leave it on the PC? I thought it was safer to remove your storage card when flashing. Thanks.

Bugs:
It didn't copy over my voice command.exe file correctly even though I had it in the boot folder on card... I manually copied it over to the windows folder and it worked fine.

Under Media tab (on the today screen shortcut program), the wmp icon doesn't show.. so I deleted it and added it again, caused two com managers to show. Trying to erase one and hitting done locks up the OS.

Questions:
Where can I get the mail2webactivsync.cab? Does it just automate the mail2web accounts setup process?

Also, I don't want all of my Verizon extended ROM to install, I usually select what I want, is it possible to have your custom boot folder pause after everything in there is run and ask if you'd like to continue installing the original extended rom?.. to give us a chance to reset in between.

Suggestions:
Pocket MSN needs to go... I think the MeMaids should be taken out too. Zip is replaced by winrar.

Great work on the ROM!

bonuts, the Boot folder is just a place to put stuff you want copied or installed on boot. You can flash with the card out, but put it in when the phone boots.

effortless, it should have copied VC over. I will check this again, but it always works for me. I know that the O2 can crap out sometimes and I am working on that. As far as the mail2web cab, you can get it from the mail2web site. Yes, it automatically sets up you account.

wow, havent run it yet, but "boot folder" is a excellent inovative idea.....

Keeping zip program is also good since I encountered a size limitation when creating a zip file with "total commander".

Also, I keep returning to O2plus because you can actually move thru each icon within plugin with joystick, not just whole today plugin. So its great that you still have it in rom.

Here's what I did to get VC to work. When you put your .exe in the BOOT folder, it does copy it to \Windows on the device, but you then need to assign it to a button in SETTINGS.

Thanks Colonel. This ROM is as fast or faster than any other I can remember. I love the Date and Time on the start bar!

Obviously you've got your reasons and you can't please everyone, but I was a little surprised to see some stuff removed - InClose, bottom status bar w/ screen rotation icon. But I did notice a new version of O2 and maybe we're suppose to use that.

I'm really nit picking now, but in 3.3.3 you had solitare with better graphics. Now we're back to the original. Not a big deal in grand scheme.

Thanks again.

Well, I found that InClose seemed to cause the Shell Errors for some reason. I also removed Batti and the freezing has stopped. I cannot place the blame solely on the apps as it may have been my implementation of them. However, starting here, this seems to be a stable build.

Forgot about the Solitare graphics. I will get those back in.

Yes, I am still working on enabling VC and I did not assign it to a button yet since everyone does not use it.

BTW, I can add endless amounts of things to be copied or installed aside from the user editable config.txt. I am open to suggestions, but please keep them to something that will benefit the group. By this, I mean that I am trying to find a way to copy cookies back to the phone so you do not have to log in to every web site that you are a member of, but providing a list of apps that "you" want installed can be done on the SD. Other suggestions of helpful additions to the customization process for the masses is eagerly welcomed.

Also, people can configure their own Custom Settings.cab to set up their personal data and preferences. I highly suggest that users play around with this.
