BUT... i am an idiot and can not figure out the how to install .rar stuff. Are you coming out with another 3.5 installer soon??
First of all, you need winrar to extract the file. Once you extract the file there are instructions text file in the winrar folder on how to use the nk.nbf that you will have extracted.

but I would love to keep it in the ROM if possible...
Issue happens with Opera mini and Google Gmail app. Really love opera mini for RSS

Also I'm sure I heard this in another thread but couldn't recall where...

Anyone else not getting VoiceMail notifications? (Verizon)

Thanks for all the hard work Colonel, my phone runs blazing fast with the 3.5!
I'm getting my voicemail notifications from Verizon on Colonel's 3.5...

Even with the OEM 2.X ROMs, vm notifications were sometimes extremely delayed. No rhyme or reason that I could ever tell.

EDIT...
Just left my self a VM and another with the Call Back Number (option 5) - received notification for both in less than 30 seconds after leaving the msg.

I will be rebuilding 3.5 in the next few days to try to fix this freeze thing. I also have a better package for installing that will make installing for novice users much easier.

Question about the freezes: Are they always happening while charging or does that matter?

Also, check this reg to see if it getting changed.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai]
"SessionTimeout"=dword:00000000

I always leave the phone on the charger when it is idle long enough for this to happen, so I can't tell you if charging matters or not.

I checked my registry, and it is setting the timeout to whatever I select - "0" when unchecked, "12" if checked with 12 Hours set, etc.

BTW - This ROM is great overall - I look forward to getting the last few kinks worked out!

colonel,

my session timeout value changes with changes to the today timeout. I had a lockup today while off cradle. I think I caught it in the process of freezing because the main and system shortcut tabs were outlined(the same way it looks after freezing).

also, receiving a text message disconnects my bluetooth link. I can however turn handsfree back on an everything is good.

what bt stack are you guys using?

Steve

If 3.3 is working for you and you are happy with it, stay there. If you can't wait to have the latest and can put up with the "testing" aspect of it, then try 3.5. I would wait until I update another nbf though.

As a note about the freezes. I just noticed my phone frozen. Based on the time the freeze was after only 2 hours in the cradle. I have my today screen timeout set to 12 hours (to test that).
