I have removed some from (and added some to) the today screen.

On my today screen, I have the O2 shortcut icons, Messaging, Calendar+ and sound profiles. I have no icons on the bottom bar.

I believe that someone else, maybe ChrisFix was having the lockup with the vanilla ROM (nothing changing from the flash).

I ran with the freshly installed ROM - no changes - for two days and had the lock ups each morning. I've since added my exchange server and installed a second copy on Intent Java manager (built in ROM version not working). Lock-ups haven't changed with or without apps added.

I'm not running this rom, so take my suggestion for what it's worth.

I suggest looking at the Notifications queue and see what's going on there. It sounds like there's some event that fires off and locks it up.

You can use Memmaid or SKTools. I'm sure there are other programs out there that do the same thing.

I thought I remembered something about one of those problems causing problems in the system. Though, I kind of doubt this is the issue since ChrisFix had the lock up problem with a just-flashed phone with nothing else done to it. Thanks.

If by "nothing else done to it", you mean flashing a ROM that has had multiple reg edits and applications installed, then yeah, you're right.

I had flashed Colonels latest 3.5 ROM, so and left it in its default state - so there are a number of built-in programs and regedits, but none that I added.
