The VC 1.6 does announce the caller coming in, but always goes to the Speaker on the unit, it doesn't go to the BT Headsets at all. ID Transfer from BadSector was the fix for this, but it will not execute on any of the 3.3 or higher..

schwos: I know there was a toggle in VC 1.6 that indicated to only channel to the BT device. Are you saying this is not working? Might have to dig up a BT set and test it out..

Couple of issues with pr5

saridnour - That is correct, even if I force it to just BT it will still go to speaker.

I have a couple questions as it relates to pr5:

1. Do I need to copy the entire purchased MSVC directory into Program files or did you relocate it somewhere else within the ROM.

2. *22899 - Fails to program, *228 option 1 fails, *228 option 2 fails this the most important as it updates the tower records.

Otherwise looks great.. If *228 won't work will have to return to pr4

schwos: on VC, just copy your Full version 1.6 Voicecommand.exe file only. All the other files are already in place in the windows dir. I set it up this way so that VC would not run unless you have purchased a full version. Wanted it in the Rom and this was the only way around it. The *228 option, is that sprint or vzw? I am asuming its *228 <Dial>? I have not used it before and a google search only turned up one thread. Did it work in pr4? May be a regression of the dialer so we could get the older one back on there and see if that corrects it although it would break smartdialer I believe. When I tried it, it said it was an invalid option. Also the thread I googled said it was not working for them on WM5 upgrades, but then started to work later so it could be a service outage?? Guessing here.

FYI, the *228 is for Verizon. I think option #1 "updates your phone" and option #2 "updates your roaming capabilities". It works fine with pr4, will check with the new pr5 tonight.

Upgraded to PR5 this morning and it absolutely SCREAMS!!! This ROM is super fast!

Still can't get the **codes to work with Verizon though.

Yeah, *228 is crucial for VZ and it worked fine in P4.

Just curious. What do you mean by crucial?
I'm on verizon, and I updated to PR4 as soon as it was out.
I waited a couple weeks before dialing *228 and never noticed a difference.
In fact, until recent months, when I really started tweaking the phone, I never use to dial *228.
Before the xv6700, I never used *228 after the initial setup, and I don't think I've had any problems because of it.

I'm asking because I don't know, and I'd like to understand the importance of this feature.

Few items with new PR5

poutlook is missing from programs menu.

I had to manually remove flashlite and TotalCommander from the startmenu. It wouldn't let me remove it using menu settings.

Fast ROM.

I found the messaging link in the appbuttons folder
