Just wanted to say - this has been the most stable rom yet.. Running this alongside slingplayer/ pdanet/ voice command 1.6/ tomtom 6/ pocketbreeze 52beta/ wisbar lite/ Otrotalk / wm5newmenu/ wm5storage / pocketweather / o2 plus last call / sbp backup / gpsgate / onlock / intent midlet manager / google map / outlook read_all_mail and delete_all_mail / jawbone bluetooth / etc, and it's by far the most rock-solid so far.. (no hangups in the past 3 days of running it..)
Keep up the great work! -mark ps - anyone have a link to the MMS for sprint app? Has anyone tested it with this ROM? pps - may have spoken a bit too soon ![]() |

For voice command, all I had to do was use 7-zip to look into the Microsoft Voice Command US PPC 1.60 for M2M.PPC420_StrongARM.CAB cab file (search on your comptuer; it'll be on there somewhere..) and manually grab out the voicecmd.016 and rename it to voicecmd..exe - then copying it to the windows direcotry on the ppc.. worked like a charm.

NitroSS: I too liked the flashlite feature where the calendar soft key was, but even easier, i went to settings, personal, buttons, and set button 1 (windows key) for the flashlite program; hold it, and you have a flashlight (surprisingly bright).

Ok this took me some time to find in the registry but it is working for me. Just remember to reset for changes to take effect.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\11 2] "Default" = "Flashlight" (or whatever you wish to name it) "Open" = "VJCandelaLite.exe" I'll cast the third vote to get this on the next ROM update, but it's real easy to change for those of us that want it or don't want it. Originally I had this key launching media player. This can be opened via VC just like media player, but it gives a bit more to the conversational appeal of the phone to have flashlight displayed on front. And who here can say this phone isn't quite the conversation piece... JESUS "let there be light" |

Wow, Raging Idiot - my first registry hack. I followed your instructions and it worked fine. Sometimes I settle for less than ideal, but not this time; having the flashlight on the main screen is so much cooler.
The next ideal? PR3 |

I'm using wm5newmenu to map my left soft key to the flashlite and a few other things..

Now if only I can convince the members of the Unified Rom Project to call their ROM release "Sunspot" as I suggested, then I can create or influence a theme to fit the name. So "flashlight" can instead be "solarflare", bootscreen can be closeup of a sunspot, and background image can be a setting sun.
Also, can create a program that will add static to the phone so that you can end an annoying conversation by honestly saying there is too much static, or there is something wrong with the connection...must be a sunspot...talk to ya later!

What's in a name? That which we call a genius by any other name would be just as smart. I beat up Sprint and all I have to show for it is this lousy ![]() When you were in diapers and wetting the sheets I was out hacking with the ppcgeeks. |

Actually, it seems like A2DP works better on some days than others. I noticed that there is a 'channel' registry key for the A2DP device. I remember reading somewhere that manipulating this channel improved someones Bluetooth Headset problems. So maybe the day-to-day nature of my problem is that it randomly selects a different channel every time I connect and some channels are better than others. Also regarding A2DP: Everytime i want to enable A2DP, i have to manually turn it on by going to the 'blue tooth settings' page. It requires something like 5 button presses. Does anyone know of an application that could automate this? My guess is that it just makes some registry change and runs an application from the windows directory. |
