contacts

I was wondering can you save the pim.vol now and save it for 3.x+ and have them working. I knew 2.x didn't work with 3.x version just wondering if we can do this now. Cuz I don't have an exchange server or outlook on the PC and I hate re-entering these contacts everytime after a flash.

So if anyone knows the answer I will flash tonight after work great job saridnour btw.

wow fantastic

easy flash up to this, we are getting better at doing this right? Moved my VCommand.exe in to the windows folder, reset and it is working like a charm. Phone codes work without lightsail app, and smartdial is working. I am very happy...

yes you can use pim.vol with 3.x+, but if you are still interested in trying out an exchange server for future changes or if you happen to lose your pim.vol completely and is free, try www.mail2web.com. You can just use it for contacts and calendar, if you dont like the idea of your email address being user@mail2web.com. It does offer true push email which is great. I actually use the upgraded version which is $1.99/month that way my reply to email address is user@verizon.net. pm if you need more info.

Verizon Wireless here. Did the *228 "program your phone" stuff and it worked fine on the second attempt.

#777 works fine for me.

Saridnour,

Will the only difference from PR5 and 6 be the updated Wisbar lite and a few tweaks? A service pack can't be done for the update, instead? We can always install the latest Wisbar on top of the old one, right?

I'm tryin to avoid flashing to PR5 and two or three days later have PR6 come out...

If not, guess I'll just to have to live with PR5 with all your stock applications (nice selection, btw) and my contacts and ActiveSync settings until PR6 is released...

P.S.: Anyone have a document or link on what all these # and * codes are all about. I feel outdated when y'all talk about that.
