Gotta love it, no mine was the only phone out of five, that didn't update (including another apache who was running kirvins clean and simple for sprint). I even had the ms patch installed yesterday too.

While I have disabled auto update time from the carrier (which DID fix my active stink always comes on problem). I have gone into phone settings, and manually updated the tima to no avail. I also can't find any daylight saving aptions in any setting for the phone at this point, I thought they were under the ,clocks ad alarms - I get no love there. I'll start reg diving later tonight...

- I also have had a problem using voice command to 'play music'. It keeps telling me no media found. My mp3 are on my card, updated in Media Players library, not protected, and play in media player with no problem. Just not through VC...

I tried your reg fix above, it was set as a hex, so I made the change as you noted. I was hoping it may have helped this, but no it didn't.

It was happening on your last wom w/ your sp1 too, however it worked on all previous roms I've used.

Otherwise I couldn't be happier w/ this rom!!!

ps - I did find default.htm in helmis and it still works great on this build - for the full look you would also need (I think it was) header.gif - but I edited the script in the page to display some custom text instead - lean!

I'm cross-posting this problem here and in a MSVC Button 5 error board. The issue seems more appropriate here now, as I learn more of what's going on. Please help. Paid too much MSVC for it not to work.

I'm running saridnour's 3.5+PR5 now. I put the .exe in the windows folder and a shortcut to the startup folder and I have assigned Voice command to button 5.

The problem is, after turning off or after a soft reset, button 5 doesn't work when I press it. However, when I press and hold, record will launch (as assigned). From then on, regular press works works fine for MSVC until the next soft reset.

Forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere. I couldn't find anything.

Added 3/11: When I do get Voice command to work, it tends to hang and then quit due to Low Memory. I have PLENTY of memory available (20MB+). The only way to get it to run again is to press and hold button 5 to launch Record. VC then works until it quits from low memory, or I turn off the phone, or a soft reset. Help!

Another update: I just noticed that this happens no matter which button VC is assigned to, so maybe this isn't the place for my problem. Still, any help would be appreciated.

Loaded sar_AKU3.5+_pr5 version Friday night and the only problems I have had so far was had to reload VC. After copying the old exe as stated above VC worked from BT but would not annouce back through headset. Once VC reinstalled all worked fine.

Have not had anyother errors so far. Will work with WIfI and other stuff this afternoon.

I hard reset my phone and then went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ UIPlugins\{A13C7005-B7BD-4f0f-B496-A830EAF8DB32}]

The default/from that was in my phone after doing a hard reset was "Capabilities"=dward:1107296256 decimal
Not: "Capabilities"=dword:42000001

So I changed it
To: "Capabilities"=dword:0280de81

as per your posting. Now my B/T headset works properly.

I had the first rom that the phone came with last year in march (VZW) before switching to helmis and then colonels 3.3 rom. Anyone else using this one care to comment to me on this versus his ? I intend to switch but i am wanting to be a little patient as once i choose a rom i will be installing it on at least 10 phones (All my partners use this phone). Colonels rom was so much faster, i cant imagine this being even better but it sounds like it is......that is just too cool. Great Work Sardi!!!! thanks for your effort.

The app that i think, in combination with a speedy phone and msvc, that made me fall in love with my phone was the Palm Threader app. I cant imagine how i lived without this.....i text alot and this makes it so much easier to do so and when on calls to rip one off if i am busy. text to email and templates and more make this so nice. I know there are issues with including it so i am guessing that is why no one ever responded to the post way earlier in the thread about using it.

As for the daylight savings time... well, my phone synced just fine.

But then again, I did install the daylightsavingstime patch I posted about earlier. This is really not an issue. I think everyone here knows how to change their time. Otherwise they aren't a true ppcgeek and what are they doing here anyway. A TRUE ppcgeek would have installed the given patch, not because they needed it, but just because it was there.... and needed testing. lol

When I receive an incoming call, the screen locks up and I can not answer call. Has anyone else experienced this issue and is there a solution? I like this ROM and would like to continue to use. TIA

This has the BT fix that was verified earlier as well as the missing GAC files that were effecting idtransfer and live mapping.... AND... this has the BT PAN fix! So with this you should be able to connect with your BT to internet sharing and get a pan up and running. This is not woking for me, but I believe this is on the side of my laptop and dongle rather than the PPC as it is waiting for a connection. Ok here is the BETA sp1 for pr5. Please if you load this, TEST this. Really need to verify:
1- BT audio is going to your BT headset and that you have call control
2- BT PAN is working with internet sharing app. (see link above for setup details)
3- The added GAC files are not breaking your .net CF apps. Look for slowdowns in the OS and apps as well as load the apps that were failing (see a page or two back in thread for details here). IDtransfer was one.

Cab [updated 3-14]: Beta1 is closed, beta2 is available later in thread or check first post to see if sp1 has been released.
If you hard reset you will loose this cab and need to re-load.

Please post your feedback here as soon as possible so others can see results and help get better coverage and verification.
