Thanks for all your work with the new ROM, it has got to be the best I have ever used, and I've been on a PPC since the T-Mobile MDA aka Wallaby.

The question I can't seem to find answers too, is how do I apply the SAR.3.5.pr4sp1.cab?

You should just be able to copy the file to your phone and then run it from file explorer.

I will look into the wisbar again.

Replying to my own message. I am now able to get this to work. No clue what happened as I didn't change anything. I am able to get into the settings now.

Thx for the help.

I should have put it in my post, but I did copy it to my storage card and tried to run the .cab, but I got the error message

"Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate."

I've tried installing to the device and to the storage card.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but what version of Wisbar is in this ROM? Is it Wisbar Lite or Wisbar Advance 2?

Thanks,

- Ray

a2dp regedit

I made this change to the rom:

HKLM\Drivers\SDCard\ClientDrivers\Class\SDMemory_C lass

Change Key BlockTransferSize to 256 (decimal. It was 20 i think)

This improves skipping when playing from SD card over a2dp. The songs skip a bit in the beginning, but don't skip at all in the middle. Also, if you pause the player when the first song starts, the device has a chance to build up a buffer and it will stop skipping a bit sooner.

I suppose the sacrifice here is small-file performance. If you keep a lot of programs on you SD card, this might not be a good hack for you. But since I keep only large files on the SD card, and read them linearly (not random access) this hasn't effect performance for me.

Also, to change the quality of the a2dp audio, i changed:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings
Change key BitPool to 64 (Decimal. Was 32 i think) Higher numbers are higher quality.

EDIT: For those who were wondering... i use Windows Media Player

Hi,

I am curious to see what project management software do you use.

Thanks

No problems here what-so-ever. It seems to be raging idiot proof.

I use this phone more than anyone I know. BT everything- mono and stereo headphones, I use Audible player all the time with my collection of over 100 books, I use media player frequently for music, tethering for laptop internet service (about 4 times a week), Excel for mpg each time I get fuel -and various record keeping, email all the time, internet searches multiple times a day, TomTom for navigation, Project-ing for project management/alarms/appointments, Weather Panel for forecasts...

Other than those everyday things there isn't much functionality on this phone I don't use at some point. Even the backlight lends itself to use when jogging or biking at night.

Phone calls...oh yeah..I use it for that also!

Yet to come across a DSOD since 3.5.4sp1 ...except when playing with certain settings such as XCPUScalar scaling past 520mhz will kill it everytime.

$13 http://www.birdsoft.biz/project.htm

It doesn't have all the glitz of others but it does what I need it to do. It's quick and reliable.

and then how do I restore them once the ROM is flashed?
