Yes
If it will work on Verizon, then I assume it doesn't include the Sprint Extended ROM?

I asked about this earlier (post on previous page, Saturday 2:30am EST), after my fresh install of Saridnour 3.5r4 immediately launched the .cab files from that ROM (from a previous install), or so it seemed. If so, how do I get rid of the extended ROM?

It's okay richboi, it is easy to fix. You need to put your 6700 into 'bootloader' mode before you install any new roms, and that fact is not really clearly articulated around here because most people assume everyone already knows.

So, right now, take you 6700 off the cradle, press the power button on top of the device, the CASSETTE BUTTON on the side (button 5) and use your stylus to soft reset - do all of those things at the same time. Then cradle, reinstall the rom and it should be okay this time.

The word "Serial" indicates he is already in bootloader mode (it changes to USB once the cable is connected). What he needs is the thread titled something like "use this if you are stuck in bootloader". I will try to dig it up.

Here you go: http://www.ppcgeeks.com/for-those-of...der-t2164.html

And I've attached a file that should work better than mtty (haven't tried it though).

well I got it installed and my other apps. Works pretty good so far. I never had voice command though. And when I hit the voice key it says I need to reinstall it. But I dont have it.

Just wanted to say that the above mentioned UNI_ExitBootloader worked great for me. A very quick fix indeed.

Also, Voice Command works nicely as well. Trial version was a pain in the ass, just cough up the $ and get the real deal. It's worth it for anyone that uses the 6700 as an mp3 player.

It depends on an application-by-application basis. With some applications, you can go into its settings and turn it off so that it doesn't start. With others, you'll need to use a file explorer to go to \Windows\StartUp, and delete the shortcut that starts it on bootup.
Thank you for the kind response. After I posted my question and going through the remainder of the 21 pages of the thread, I saw that this same question had already been asked and answered a few times. You guys demonstrate a great deal of patience in this community.

OK, well, enough of the sucking up to the experts :P ...I've got another question for you all!

The custom ROM seems to be working very well for me, however, I am not sure I have run all of the patches necessary. After installing the sar_AKU3.5+_pr4, as shown on page 1, I then installed the sar_AKU3.5+_pr4_sp1.cab file. I didn't install the pr2, or pr3 patches, because the instructions on page 1 said "Currently all fixes are in the sp1 cab." Was my interpretation of that statement correct, or should I go back and install the pr2 and pr3 patches ?

Thanks for the help.

Im on verizon. I noticed after I installed this my connection to the internet was gone. I entered this info to make a new connection.
6153147842@vzw3g.com as the user name (btw that’s a fake number just to make my point) and as the password I use vzw. Is this correct? I mean it works, but I just wanted to make sure that this is the info that was the default connection b4 I installed this AKU3.5. Because I seen a post where someone said use QNC as the password?

A while back when I was getting online with my v710 and a usb cable I was to the understanding that thw VZW password was the connection to the high speed net and the QNC was for the slower speed connections?

First I would like to say thanks for the Roms. I have been using PR2 since its release and the same goes for PR4. I have had no problems with either one. The only thing I did notice was that with PR4 I was down to 22mb of memory after the install. Seems kind of low. Any reason why this would be?

Also, is anyone using the Treo SMS program with this Rom? I want to make sure it works with 3.5 before I install it.

Thanks again for a wonderful Rom. Keep up the good work!
