*NOTE1: Voice command had the EXE removed as this is commercial software. All you need to do is copy your EXE in to the windows dir and create a shortcut to the startup folder and it will be functional and mapped to button #5.

I tried this...and also read along with the other fix. I didn't the problem is my voice command exe in the windows dir is f**k'd I get an error everytime I try and execute. I already went into the reg and edited what was dicussed. Anyone else getting an error from VC exe in the windows dir or just me?

Evil Genius, I'm getting the same error. However- I've been trying to get the exe from the Trial Version to work. I felt this would be unlikely, but figured it to be worth a shot.

So I am not sure where those came from??
Why are we seeing different things at this key? Let me try to describe exactly what I see in your unedited sar_AKU3.5+_pr4 SP1 at this reg key. I'm looking at this with regedit:

Name......................Data

LaunchAPEnable .......1 (0X000001)
Path........................\WINDOWS\rundll32.exe
VoiceCmdEnable.......0 (00000000)

So, what I've done is simply remove the Data for Path. Button 5 assigned to VC; Button 5 (hold) assigned to Notes. Soft reset. I've described the result: Button 5 works fine except not when device is locked. Okay. I've also tried this: delete the entire VoiceCommand key and then added it back with Path as the only value name, data = (blank). Then the key looks like this in regedit:

Name .........................Data

Path...................... (blank)

And then, exactly as before, button 5 won't activate VC when device is locked.

Am I doing something wrong? --jendand

Sprint Extended ROM

I'm afraid I just created a new thread that was meant as a reply for this one -- too late at night I suppose It asks about the use of Sprint Extended ROM with Saridnour's 3.5 ROM.

Fortunately it may be of interest for other new 3.5 ROM users, and I edited it to be more general. Please take a look:

http://ppcgeeks.com/viewtopic,p,30640.html#30640

With apologies.

Saridnour - Why aren't you participating in the Unified ROM Project? I've tried most of the ROMs available and I'm very happy with yours. I think you would be a great contributor to the project. Just let Glossman know if you would still like to participate.

How do you "turn off" an app in the ROM ?

I think Wisebar is interfering with my Wisbar Advanced proggie from running.

It depends on an application-by-application basis. With some applications, you can go into its settings and turn it off so that it doesn't start. With others, you'll need to use a file explorer to go to \Windows\StartUp, and delete the shortcut that starts it on bootup.

In wisbar setup, uncheck run on soft reset. in \windows\startup remove the wisbar link. Set wisbar advance 2 delay to 10 seconds.
