jendand: The new Mort supports AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) and you can control it with what ever functions AVRCP supports on your headset. Play and pause on mine. I really don't care to much about VC control of the apps as long as AVRCP is working. I (as well as alot of othere) made the mistake that VC was doing this.
VC has a custom DLL made to control WMP (next track, what tack is this, etc), so to get to working with another app that has a different API, the dll would need to be remade. I believe TCPMP just share some API's with WMP and thus can work for the few features. Another nice thing about Mort is that it goes to a try Icon that can be clicked (from the today screen) to control basic features as well. I just really took to this latest mort build. Oh and I can pause form my headset.. or did I mention that already LOL.. If WMP could resolve the device.exe app running at 99% for the first 20 sec and allow the audio quality to be improved, I would use it but as most do not use VC to control WMP, Mort was the best way to go until then. That being said, I kept the unregistration info in mort to unregister mort from the mp3,m3u,etc and revert it back to WMP if someone wants it as default (you would also need to ower the quality form 80 to about 34 again) this is all in the apps reg as well. Morts a smart app.

Van G: Getting VC has been posted in here a few times but the best way is to use cecab manager (trial in files) to extract the files from the cab. You can also install the app copy it and then hard reset.
Most mods should work just backup what you are changing. There is not list of hacks or apps for this rom so just give them a shot and report if your having issues. From your list I use PIE+ and wififofum (latest) with no issues.

BTW, with the new R6 that I built up last night, so far no lockups on soft reset! I made some changes to the intifile and reset the run order and think this maybe the fix. I have reset a number of times (just to test this) and so far so good. Figure I would test murphys law and see if saying this was going to jinx it but I would rather it happen now than later

saridnour, the revisions look great! Thanks for modifying the date/time to one line.

One other suggestion would it be possible to remove the Comm Manager Icon from the bottom of the today screen to free up some more real estate there?

Hide Comm Mgr

Okay if you want to hide the Comm Mgr after the Fact this is the reg entry. I also attached a cab that does the same thing if you aren't comfortable with registry changes. Will require Soft Reset to take effect..

You can add the CAB file to your Extended_ROM and update your Config.txt to reflect it, all done.

Remove Wireless Comm Mgr Button on Bottom of Today Screen
------------------
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\WirelessMgr
DWord: Keep
Set Value: 0 0x0(0)

For the Cab rename from .zip to .cab.
Attached Files
File Type: zip hidetdcommmgr_193.zip (1.0 KB, 3 views) Click for barcode!

saridnour,

600mhz default might be a bit much though. I've owned a few PPC6700s and they would crash at anything beyond 520mhz.

Otherwise, sounds great. Can't wait for release.

I posted earlier in this thread about having problems getting Bejeweled and Kevtris to open, then they just started working for no apparant reason. Now they are doing it again...randomly. I'm having trouble duplicating the bug. Any one else have trouble opening either of these games?

I play Kevtris quite frequently when bored at work, i've never had a single problem. Could it be an outside program interfering, something you added after the ROM update.
