Re: 3.5 pr4 sp1 problem is it happening on pr5

I normally have it showing by name, and only showing the name (not #). I switched it to show name and #, then to view by company and no problems. I even tried filtering several ways, and typed a letter to filter by that, still no lock-ups. I only have about 200 contacts.

Also, don't know if it was related, but I had noticed the problem soon after installing a new dialer screen. I didn't do anything specifically to fix it, but it seems to work fine now. I've found there are at least 3 main things that cause weird/unstable results... 1- Insufficient memory 2- Low battery 3- Additional programs and how they are set up (ex: Weatherpanel trying to auto update and stopping or slowing processes and interrupting incoming calls)

What's in a name? That which we call a genius by any other name would be just as smart. I beat up Sprint and all I have to show for it is this lousy When you were in diapers and wetting the sheets I was out hacking with the ppcgeeks. |

OK - I've took the plunge and installed v3.5pr5 today. I've been testing out my bluetooth headset as it relates to calls/VC, and here's my observation -
the 3 beeps/hangup on the bluetooth that I mentioned before was actually the phone going to sleep. When the ppc goes to sleep (times out) during a call, it's disconnecting bluetooth - (bluetooth turns off completely and has to be turned back on..) - sometimes the device times out/screen blanks, but it doesn't really go to sleep/ call remains. I can tell it hasn't really gone to sleep because the device doesn't lock on startup (I'm using devicelock..) Just my observations... bluetooth works fine as long as the phone doesn't suspend itself while on a call... Anyone else seeing this/have a solution for this? -mark Edit - I tested this without devicelock running just in case - same results.. the bluetooth just sometimes loses it's pairing.. (it doesn't always completely turn off though - often it just turns off for a few seconds/then finds the headset again...) |

I installed that BT PAN fix. Kept your sp1 beta. And now I'm sending this to you on my laptop using the BP PAN to the 6700! Worked first time without a problem. I'd expected some fanfare, at least something saying I was connected on the PC. Instead, the only thing that happened was my Earthlink icon showed I was connected. --jendand |

jendand: Thanks for checking this.
I too confirmed that the bt pan official fix is working... so the beta sp1 is missing somehting and needs correction. I will try and see if I can get this worked out this evening and another sp1 beta out for test. -saridnour |
