I once couldn't get it past the splash screen whenever attached via USB. Not sure what caused it or whether the USB attachment was an influence, but I tried 3-4 times both ways and it worked when not attached and didn't work when attached.
Also, don't know if it was related, but I had noticed the problem soon after installing a new dialer screen.
I didn't do anything specifically to fix it, but it seems to work fine now.
I've found there are at least 3 main things that cause weird/unstable results...
1- Insufficient memory
2- Low battery
3- Additional programs and how they are set up (ex: Weatherpanel trying to auto update and stopping or slowing processes and interrupting incoming calls)
