anyone????
please please please... cani i get some help
It is part of the installer package for my custom rom and NoJunk Sprint Extended rom. It requires you to reflash you phone and make some serious changes along with losing everything you have on it now. Basically the NoJunk Extended Rom is the same as the Sprint official rom except the crap that Sprint added that is not necessary is cut out. There are many different methods of removing this stuff if you do not want to reflash your phone. To find them, I suggest searching around for threads about unlocking the ExtRom or customizing the ExtRom. If you want to reflash your phone and you think you are comfortable with it, hang tight and I will have a new rom released soon.
ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh... i got it now it's part of the new rom i thought it was a seperate cab that you included that i had to run lol. Thanks for the reply... i've actually already installed your version of the rom... and i am very pleased with it, i honestly don't have any real complaints... do notice that everything seems to be working smoothly... THANKS

Yeah, when you do an official update from Sprint lets say, there are three parts to to update. The Rom, the Extended Rom, and the radio. In an installer package, these are represented by nk.nbf, ms.nbf, and radio.nbf respectively. So, if you see a file like this, you will need flash installer to get it on your phone.

I would love to get help setting up a kitchen. The new ROM you are discussing has many things I am not remotely interested in but I realize you can't make custom rom's for every tom dick and hairyass...

Hell, if I get a working kitchen set up I might start taking requests!

The activesync mode cab is definitely not needed in 3.3 as the connections, usb to pc applet does the same thing.

colonel, I have a theme you might consider adding since it's only 4k. It's a high-contrast black-on-white ultra simple one great for daylight use (esp driving). It's on wmthemes.com (search hicontrast--be careful there's a vga version too). I created it with thememaker x and it's been great especially used with vjlumosii.

Sorry for the double-post, the board was hiccupping last night and I can't delete my post anymore.

This new version is very, very fast, Colonel. Seems much faster than your Version 1 - maybe it's a Glyphcache change I read about on the other board. Your value in ppc 6700 hacks (or whatever that app is called) seems nice and high, to no ill effect so far.

I am seeing a lot of interest in a custom 3.3 with nothing "added" other than the base fixes (.NET, Pics&Vids fix, etc.). It seems everyone is cooking one with their own favorite configurations, but that leaves everyone with a ROM running stuff they don't want or don't need. Given how unstable these devices have been, I can't blame people for not wanting 20 random utilities that all do similar things possibly reacting with one another. I may cook one myself if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Why does everyone hate PPT so much? I suppose it's huge, but for business users it is probably a must-have in order to review slide presentations on the handheld.

Colnel

Personally I would like to see a custom rom WITHOUT anything. Especially MSN messenger files and voice command. That would be a great slim OS. That way we can install stuff as we like.

I like XPF and all, and several of the other programs you've included with the rom, but stuff like XPF I move to the storage card after it's installed. Programs like MSVC and Unlock Pro I move to the extended rom (after I delete everything in it) That way I have a minimum or wonderful storage space on the main rom and the phone runs better.

Just a thought, appreciate all your hard work!

Has anyone noticed any performance difference with .NET2 ?
Does the 3.3 Rom run any slower?

Just wondering because of another thread where nobody likes it, even though I guess we need it to run some newer programs.

EDit:
Would be great if we could enable/disable it.

I dont notice it being any slower than the stock ROM where it runs slow as frozen 30 weight motor oil.

For a very long time I thought it was Pocket Plus causing my slowdowns but turns out its .net 2 on my SD card.

MS once again proves they know bloatware better than anyone.....
