Soft reset fixed it. Today I had same phone problems. So I switched ESN's to my other 6700 (I have two, long story) with Helmi's 3.3 and had no problems at all. So then I reflashed my phone with Colonels back to Helmi's 3.3 and no problems occurred. Now I wish I had tried a hard reset before I re-flashed the ROM to see if that would fix the problem. I always do a hard reset before and after every ROM flash.
do you have VC 1.6 installed?? I was having the same problem, I had to hard reset and reflash to the original sprint rom then back to the beta2 and everything is fine (without VC 1.6)
No I do not use VC. I have Pocket and Contact Breeze, Phone Alarm, and a vista style dialer. Everything else is stock
could be the dialer also, thats also something else i had installed that i no longer do

It did not work with just the cab installation. I got the "The file 'wpctsc' cannot be opened. Either it is not a signed.........blah blah" error. I will work on it.
oops...maybe this one... I've upload 2 version yesterday..

From an earlier post from saridnour on the WM6 RDP client:

Files include: wpctsc.exe, mstscax.dll, MvkLib.dll, tscscan.txt, tscshift.txt
reg:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE]
"LoadRdp"="1"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client]
"MapVirtualKeyLib"="\\Windows\\MvkLib.dll"
"CEConfig"="Maxall"
"BitmapPersistCacheLocation"="\\Temp"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\AutoLoad\ FilterFsd]
"BootPhase"=dword:00000002
"RootPath"=""
"FolderName"="FILTERFS"
"MountFlags"="1"
"LoadFlags"="1"
"Paging"="0"
"Dll"="filterfsd.dll"

I think I had to change the double slashies to single slashies to get it to work. You'll have to make shortcut and copy it to \Programs, of course.

This is a link to StartCleaner - I don't know who wrote it. Put the program into the windows/startup directory. It clears the recently opened programs list from the Start Menu when you do a soft reset. This would be a nice addition to your custom rom.

I have made some of my own mods to Colonel's latest nb.nbf file from 7 Feb. I add several freeware programs, mostly dealing with wireless.
Pocketping
pocketdhcp
netuse
vxutil
vncviewer
wififofum

also
VisualGPS
notepad
tippster
and a diferent picture program

I disabled the flashlight, but the program is still available to assign to a differet button.

I changed the PIE homepage to a file which can be modified.

I aded several folders and moved many of Colonels programs around.

Folders UTIL FAVS CONNECT UTIL/TOOLS UTIL/GPS

I also disabled some of the startups. All of the programs from Colonels work are still in there, but some are not used.

Available at:
ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks.com/Zoomie/nb.zip

Take it as is, I will not be editing it.

Random soft reset problem

colonel - still using beta 2, but i have noticed that about every 30 minutes or so my phone automatically soft resets. Anyone else having this problem?

EDIT: Seems to be a battery problem...

He's already got a program in there that does this.

What do you have running? Are you using the HTC X button app? If you are, disable it and see if that doesn't help.

Anything in either of the last two nbk's that could be causing me to lose all email settings at each soft reset?
Thanks!
