A couple of questions -- what does the internet sharing app do? I was unable in WM5 to use the xv6700 as a modem, even running wmodem all I ever got after dialing #777 was OK, never got connected. I have not tried this with wm6, but anybody done this? I do not want to pay the extra to Verizon if I can avoid it.

I decided to try this out again and not let the carrier customizations run this time (did last time) since there were many posts about not letting that happen and thus far my XV6700 is working much better. thank you Helmi for this, you made my phone so much better

Hi all!

Just found this forum. I did the OS upgrade and it went perfect. I have zero issues so far. Everything works correctly. Wifi/Wireless LAN - connected and working with WPA-PSK / TKIP. No typing delays that was mentioned. So far I can't find anything that is not working as it should. This is a Sprint PPC6700.

Thanks for creating this great upgrade..was getting ready to pitch the phone.

Jamz

So far works amazingly. Snappier than 1.04 even.

Excellent work!

Thanks for the awesome work! I bought a new PPC-6700 and flash first thing. I am loving everything. I am having the Wifi issue like a lot of other people but the reconnect fix seam to be working.

Installed the rom on sprint PPC6700 workd good, However the phone goes into data mode by itself, and i have to click Comm manager and disable data and it switches back to phone but after a while of the phone sitting it goes to data mode again.

Even in data mode the phone recieves calls and functions properly, but just bugs me a little it goes to data by itself.

Thanks, Joe
