Is there a way to change the carrier splash screen after the fact once the ROM is loaded onto the phone? I made mine custom, but want to replace it with stock. Thanks!

Yes, I saw that. But does the same process apply using XP or Vista? I just wanna make sure I don't find myself going crazy because I "bricked" my phone running off an assumption, you know? Never hurts to ask, but it might kill my phone to assume, lol.

Yes. Just hard reset, get into bootloader, connect to usb, flash with the stock wm5 rom, then hard reset again once complete.

I am not currently running Vista, but have flashed roms with it many times before. If you want confirmation, search this thread for Vista...I know I've seen some people post their experiences. Look for "Search this Thread" near the top right of this page.

WM6 HTC Home Plugin

Great package on the WM6, have a question maybe someone can point me in the right direction. Is there anyway to remove and or uninstall either automatically or manually the HTC plugin features. I use mobile shell and weather panel and do not need the htc plugin and would like to recover any space it is using on the phone.

Thanks,
Matt

You can disable the plugin, then delete the files associated with the program. If you're not sure which files to delete, you should be able to open the HTC Home Plugin cab file found in the PPCGeeks\PPC Software forum. Use WinCE Cab Manager to open the cab and view the files it installs.

Can't get WM6 to sync again.

After the first sync it keeps saying unable to detect USB device.
