Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
[QUOTE=lordshadowz;356297]Hi Sportster,
I just upgraded my Xv6700 to WM6.1 and had the same issue. After some research come to find out The Windows Live and Windows Live Messenger included in the kitchen (Lenny's Selections) are not compatible with Windows Mobile 6.1. You have to go to google and do a search for "Windows Live Mobile Fixed" you will find a link for the updated and fixed Windows Live Mobile that ALSO includes Windows Live Messenger. I don't know if its against the rules to post the link or file here so don't want to get into trouble. But its right on Google. You will also need to reflash the phone also before doing this as when I tried it told me the update didn't have sufficient permission. Just remember not to include it in the rom. Also do NOT download Windows Live Mobile directly from MS. It does NOT include Messenger client. Lordshadowz, Thanks for the info. Don't really wan to re-flash the phone again, as everything else is working great. I'll definitely look through google for the fix and see what happens. Thanks again for your help. |

You could try to either flash back to Stock ROM or another Custom ROM

I'm kind of a novice when it comes to phone software upgrades, but can anyone tell me the difference between this kitchen and the Apache WM6.1 19213 Kitchen?
Thanks in advance! |

19213 was released for the Kaiser (I think) and is supposedly more stable and user friendly. I have been using 19716 with no major issues compared to 19213. (We won't discuss that I'm flashing back to stock since I somehow created a ROM where I can't access EPST and my MSL seems to be worthless. ![]()

Personally, I have found Helmi's to be more reliable, and stable. I don't know why, but that is just how I have found the two to differ. Even though it should be the other way around, I have just stuck with my Helmi ROM, 213.
