Lengthy text messages are chopped instead of spanned to another text message. And, I cannot reliably send sms to pagers. I think the development team has done a fantastic job...but, I just want to go back to the way things were in 6.0. Any suggestions? I can't find the old installation files for the PPCKitchen and only have an option for WM 6.1 in the application.
Thank you,

There wasn't an "original WM6.0 threaded SMS program". There was a warez threaded SMS app, but you won't find it here or in the WM6.0 kitchen. Sending SMS to pagers is a function of your carrier (and the recipients). The recipient will still see smileys even if you don't

I am using v 1.00, it was originally a Qwest phone but I have it using a Cricket PRL. When I set it to bootloader, there is a v1.00 on the bottom. I have tried to do it several times, and get the error each time. I am selecting the NOID RUU from the apache menu and also have it set as the saved preference in the kitchen.

I also wanted to comment that I, too, am having this same problem. Is there something that I'm missing? PrimeContact looks all nice and great...but it's not functional at all. I can't set the preferred phone, I can't dial from the contacts...it doesn't really do anything.

Okay, I understand. Is there any chance of the current kitchen supporting a "flashback" to WM 6.0?
Thank you.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Any way to improve memory / cpu performance on this thing? sometimes it is unusable and/or unstable. i find myself only having around 5-9mb free while running windows media player and IE... I tried XCPUScalar and mp3's went to low pitch when using scroll bars, that negative outweighed the positives and there is still the lack of memory issue and IE sucking up too much resources.. any help is appreciated thanks. would hate to have to use opera/mortplayer

I am trying a trial period of PocketHackMaster , overclocking to 440MHz doesnt pitch bend my mp3's.. so thats about as good as it can get i suppose

I may have missed the post, but i felt it worth writing just in case.

I was having a horrible time getting past the G'reloc step (as in, never getting past it).

Somebody commented about disabling antivirus.

Worked like a charm (and a hell of a lot faster as well).

Using Kaspersky AV7

Does this or the WM6 upgrade work flawlessly on the XV6700? I want to upgrade from WM5 but only if it's worth it and isn't something I'll regret.
