It's exactly the same as WM6 flashing. You proabably need to repartition your phone (task 28 55aa) and flash your radio and rom again. You might try flashing stock if that doesn't work.

Updated, 6.1 is running great. Only real difference I noticed, and my whole reason for upgrading, was the threaded txt. Much easier. Also, new kitchen enhancements are awesome as well. Thanks, great job!

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Problem: 6.1 works great however I can no longer receive text messages more than 160 characters. In fact if someone sends a me a 160+ message my 6700 will simply light up as if it were trying to receive the message and then turn back off. No message. Anything under 160 chars. comes right in. No problems sending. I have tried resets and going back to good old 6.0 all to no avail.

Currently running 6.1 again and wracking my brain and the internet for help.

If I want to transfer my personal Oemizer settings from the previous ROM/BuildOS, can I simply copy a file? And to where?

Lightbulb Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

I was having problems using i-guidance 4.0 with the iblue gps. I would have to delete the gps and pair again for it to work after the ppc6700 was on standby for a while. Then I noticed that if I just change the bluetooth port each time, it would work again. Finally, I realized (drumroll...) that if I don't let windows manage the ports (uncheck the box and select "none" under program port), it works perfect everytime. So somehow, the Windows mobile GPS manager is broken on 6.1. At least in my setup.

I hope this helps.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Hi, I'm using the kitchen to put the ROM on my PPC-6700, and everything goes fine until it actually tries to load the ROM onto the phone. If I put the phone in bootloader mode (v 1.00) and connect it to my pc (running vista) and it recognizes that its plugged in. So I run the RUU but then it ends up giving me this error 101 about a connection error. So then i'll turn the phone on sync it so its connected and try to run the RUU again and i'll end up getting the same error about a connection error. Has anyone else run into this problem or found any solutions for it?

Thanks,
Ju

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Okay, I am really getting frustrated now. I wasn't able to connect to encrypted wifi or send/receive texts with pictures with WM6.1 , so I attempted to downgrade to WM6.0. After making my 6700 into a brick for a few hours, I was finally able to get it working, but it kept freezing at the Windows Mobile splash screen. I am not building a WM6.1 rom with the kitchen and I am getting an ERROR 100: MODEL ID ERROR The ROM image that you are trying to use is not designed to work on your device. The kitchen is for my Apache and I selected the 2.02 bootloader. Can anyone help?

Chose the no-id RUU. For some reason every time I downgrade, when I go back to 6.1 I have to flash as no-id first then I can flash standard. That should fix your problem too. You description matches mine perfectly.
