I believe that what he is trying to say is that the device lock application(that requires a 1 or more digit "code" to unlock it) is by no means a very secure measure. It only hampers the average person trying to get into your phone. Which is really the point anyways for most users.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Im still getting horrible input lag in messaging (text email etc) that causes some missed input of characters. like putting in "Hello my name is kinesis" itll be like "ello y ame is knesis" etc... I tried increasing paging pool size from 7 -> 10 as a user had suggested but its not helping. any ideas?

Try setting the word Suggestion from four to two. I noticed a speed increase

I need to keep my PPC out of so-called "flight mode" in order for TomTom Navigator (which I use regularly) to try accessing Bluetooth. Even when BT is specifically enabled, TT will ignore it if it detects the "phone" is in "flight mode". But I don't want any cell functions. I don't have service and I really want to detach cell from Pocket PC. I use Bluetooth to my Verizon phone in order to get DUN internet access. Accidentally pushing those talk/end buttons is annoying.

Is there a way to save some space (, battery life, annoyance, etc) by cutting out - or at the very least disabling - those cell functions on the Apache? Seems everyone but me is really concerned with preserving cell functionaity (SMS, data, cell, etc), whereas I'm probably the only one wanting to totally obliterate said functions
This from No2Chem:
1) remove rilphone
2) if you don't need a dialpad (not using voip), also remove phone packages from SYS

Couldn't tell you if that triggers Flight mode or not, but your bluetooth/irda/wifi should all still work.

I've seen the same issue, and I immediately turn word suggestion off after flashing.

Just my 2 cents...

Yeah thats the weird thing about this ROM. It sets the default to 4. 4 and three just drive me nuts cause they always get in the way. But 2 works fine for me, but you dont have to use it. I mean whats the point other than faster typing if you use spell check?

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

My phone got stuck in bootloader mode, then the software finally went through after a few tries. The only problem is...it's now stuck on the BOOT SPLASH SCREEN, and it seems as though it's still in bootloader mode, but just with the spash screen png. I'm using a new (just got phone replaced yesterday) xv 6700, and operating as an administrator (as suggested) on Vista. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

Yeah...I did. The initial picture comes up...and 2 secs later...the commands (or codes) show up on the screen
(H/W=2 P SNAZ-40306 etc)
and it just stays there. And it won't let me power it off...so the screen stays lit up.
