What's wrong? I'm using XP Pro as my OS
Make sure you have all the .net frameworks installed. I can't remember which one is needed by BuildOS but it's probably 1 or 2. Look in your Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and see if both are listed. If they are, uninstall and reinstall them (you can reinstall via windows update or download the exe from microsoft's web site).

Thanks for posting that--but to clarify I think what the guy needs is the one below what you have higlighted. The Compact framework is for the phone itself, whereas the full framework is for the PC (and therefore BuildOS).

I have been searching this site and I can't find an answer to this question so sorry if it has already been asked. After compiling my ROM it goes through the process and I get to the Encode step. I select Verizon.prj and hit next. After that when I press Encode I get this error:

Failed to get FAT16 file size.

Here's a screeny of it:

Sounds like you have an old kitchen and you are selecting the prj file from it. When you select your prj back all the way out and make sure you are selecting your prj from C:\BuildOS\TOOLS folder.

I had it in a different location. I'm re-installing buildOS right now and I'll re-cook it and see if that makes a difference.
