Guys, please don't cross-post into multiple threads. tek2tirado, the problems you're having are not related to buildos at all, so you have already posted them in the correct place (the kitchen bugs thread).

I've got this error
"PPC-BuildOS has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
And I must choose whether to send error report or not..
What's wrong? I'm using XP Pro as my OS

No idea. Maybe if you tell us what you did just before getting that error?

My guess is you bungled the install.

Did you put the phone in bootloader Before connecting the cable?

Yes, you did it wrong. Don't run buildos.exe directly. Look on your desktop - there will be a shortcut for the kitchen. Use that.

Read tips.txt.

Make sure you have all the .net frameworks installed. I can't remember which one is needed by BuildOS but it's probably 1 or 2. Look in your Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and see if both are listed. If they are, uninstall and reinstall them (you can reinstall via windows update or download the exe from microsoft's web site).

and make sure you unzipped it to the right place:
c:\buildos\buildos by default I believe.

Sounds like you have an old kitchen and you are selecting the prj file from it. When you select your prj back all the way out and make sure you are selecting your prj from C:\BuildOS\TOOLS folder.

This is the only kitchen I have on this computer. I am positive that I am installing it from the most recent version
