Thanks for the reply Medic. Do you know if I could downgrade the official htc/apache stack and have it revert the bootloader as well? If it did, then that could resolve a lot of craziness. Otherwise, I'll just MTTY, and away I go.

Crud, I just tried to download the latest ROM from utstarcom for Verizon and PPC6700 and VZW is *not* in the carriers list!!! What should I do?

Don't bother. Do the downgrade procedure and head for the kitchen.

Yeah, I realized that recently. I just tried to use MTTY from the bootloaderfix.rar and it doesn't seem to do usb. I got an older version from xda-dev and it does have USB.

My OS is Vista and my drivers seem to be up to date.

MTTY says, "cannot connect to USB".

Was I supposed to stop MDC all together or just un-check USB?

You'll need to stop it altogether, and mtty has problems under Vista, so you want to find an XP machine. Or find me in the chat room.
