Yeah, I realized that recently. I just tried to use MTTY from the bootloaderfix.rar and it doesn't seem to do usb. I got an older version from xda-dev and it does have USB.

My OS is Vista and my drivers seem to be up to date.

MTTY says, "cannot connect to USB".

Was I supposed to stop MDC all together or just un-check USB?

Austin

You'll need to stop it altogether, and mtty has problems under Vista, so you want to find an XP machine. Or find me in the chat room.

Re: Apache WM6 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.1908 (Build 18508.0.7.0) - UPDATED 20071217

Hey...so I am a complete Noob. I did some reading on the BigJ 40 page doc about cooking your own rom. I fiddled with that one and used it. Now I want to use this one instead but it looks like a different process for cooking in this kitchen if I want to start with the release on this thread. plus there are multiple files to possibly download. If I want to remove a couple programs from the kitchen and add a few in their place, which particular download link do I use. Please help since I don't really know what I'm doing and don't want to screw things up. Thank you!

For example somone mentioned not to unpack the rar kitchen file but I thought that was the whole point of the kitchen. You unpack the file then you have the OEM file with your optional folders that you can edit. Along with that there are other files that I'm not going to attempt to touch like the SYS folder ect. but I don't see anything that looks like that same environment. Thanks again guys
