Okay....sorry if i'm re-asking this...but I've given up on searching here. I'm using the latest verizon build from HTC - after upgrading to WM6 with a previous (VERY unstable) version. I'm not sure what I need to do to upgrade to this one again. Do I need the OEM and Kitchen files, or just the kitchen exe file.
Thanks in advance for the help. Also - I second the guy above me that recommended the guide for noobs!

The noob guide is coming soon to a theatre near you. GAMedic has a noob guide thread that you might find useful in the meantime.

You don't need the OEM pack, but most people get it as that's where all the toys are.

Follow the link in the above post to Ga Medic's tutorial, and it tells you what to do there. He did a good job with it....easy to understand.

Okay...i followed the tutorial to the letter. I had the latest version from HTC, verizon, bootloader is version 1.04 and I'm using windows vista home premium. Okay...so, I ran through it and was oversize the first time....cut some items and the build went fine and told me to connect via usb. I connected in bootloader mode (screen changed from serial to USB) and clicked next - got an error that it could not communicate - did that twice. Per the tutorial, I tried again from the kitchen with the RUU as "NoID" - connected this time....then gave me an error that it was for the wrong device. Can someone tell me what I'm missing?? Each time, I get an error, then it says to disconnect and hard reset - which I do and return to verizon/HTCs latest release. I'd love to get back to WM6, and this version from verizon is SLOW!

Try waiting a little longer for your PC to detect the PPC. Double check yor carrier is in the top box and in the selections. Try again.

okay.....i tried again. Left it connected in bootloader mode for 10min first....and it says USB when I connect it. When i try it with RUU x.04 - it gives me a connection error, but when i do it with RUU NoID - it connects but says its for a different device. Would the windows version make a difference (ie windows vista?)

Okay...so I thought I'd try the WM6_clean version and see if THAT would work. Well, it gave me a connection error too! and now I'm stuck in bootloader mode. Any suggestions anyone?!
