Okay...i followed the tutorial to the letter. I had the latest version from HTC, verizon, bootloader is version 1.04 and I'm using windows vista home premium. Okay...so, I ran through it and was oversize the first time....cut some items and the build went fine and told me to connect via usb. I connected in bootloader mode (screen changed from serial to USB) and clicked next - got an error that it could not communicate - did that twice. Per the tutorial, I tried again from the kitchen with the RUU as "NoID" - connected this time....then gave me an error that it was for the wrong device. Can someone tell me what I'm missing?? Each time, I get an error, then it says to disconnect and hard reset - which I do and return to verizon/HTCs latest release. I'd love to get back to WM6, and this version from verizon is SLOW!

okay.....i tried again. Left it connected in bootloader mode for 10min first....and it says USB when I connect it. When i try it with RUU x.04 - it gives me a connection error, but when i do it with RUU NoID - it connects but says its for a different device. Would the windows version make a difference (ie windows vista?)
