"there was an error creating or building something" is not sufficiently descriptive for anyone to help you. If you're getting an error, tell us the exact error message, as it appears on the screen, and at what point it occurs.

instructions for?

There's tips.txt in the kitchen, which tells you a lot about the kitchen. If that's not enough, there's a tutorial thread in this forum by GAMedic.

Does anyone knows what is the name for the apps that Helmi is running in the pictures that he shows in the kitchen intro, I like the clock and the menu below it, or if you have the links where I can get my hands on them. Thank you.

The Clock app is the HTC Home plugin. There are several different versions in the kitchen but they all have the big clock and launcher icons. A nice tool to have for it is a cool little app that's from xdadevelopers.com is the HHC Home customiser app. It allows you to change the clock face, amount of launcher icons, weather database, and more. You do however point out that there ought to be screenshots of the apps in the kitchen help file.
I split my screen with it and SPB pocket plus 4.

Maybe not the help file (it's not about OEMs), but it sure would be nice to have screenshots in the kitchen...
