Thank you, Thank you!!! This kitchen is fantastic!!
Thanks to all that took part in introducing this Kitchen!! I am in Heaven! I just cooked a new ROM for my XV6700 which I had stopped using as a PDA (only used as a phone) because WM5 was so unreliable on it even with tweaks. I love it now!!!
I know there was a link to donate, but I can't find it! Keep up the great geek work!!

Just upgraded (thanks for a GREAT job) after running an old Helmi WM5 ROM for months with no trouble. Only thing I'm having trouble with is Today Agenda -- I can't seem to find the settings anywhere. On the earlier kitchen I believe I loaded Today Agenda from a .cab but although I've got it checked in this kitchen I can't seem to come up with it anywhere...?
Thanks, ~Jacy |

From Tierman: "Not working" is a great way to troubleshoot, but I think I found the problem with the Today Agenda OEM. It's missing an RGU file which means it will work, it's just missing the registry entry to make it show up on the today item list. Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\ Today Agenda]"DLL"="TodayAgenda.dll""Type"=dword:00000004"Selec tability"=dword:00000002"Enabled"=dword:00000001"O ptions"=dword:00000001 You can either add that to one of your personal OEMs, add it to a reg file and import it, or create the key and entries manually in your registry. I've fixed it for next release of the PPCGeeks_OEM pacakge." (End from Tierman.) The attached is a reg file that worked for me. It is not really a zip. Just change it to a .reg file, put it on your device, and "import" it to the above location. __________________

Re: Apache WM6 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.1908 (Build 18508.0.7.0) - UPDATED 20071217
Sarge ...
Just build the ROM as usual ... When it gets to the "upload" step, simply cancel ... Now at your later date, in the Build tool, select the "tools" option ... YOu should see "upload ROM to Device" ... This will apply the latest build (located in c:/BuildOS/Temp if you installed in the default location) to your ppc ... Hope that helps ... And thanls for your service ... Re: Apache WM6 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.1908 (Build 18508.0.7.0) - UPDATED 20071217
Error 100 Model ID Error.
I used this kitchen without any problems on my 6700, but I had to return it to Verizon because of a dead spot on the screen. I did put it back to the original ROM before I took it in. Verizon replaced it not problem, but the new one had bootloader 2.05. So I put 2.02 on it (following the thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=7820 - I downloaded the nk.nbf, radio.nbf and ms_.nbf from http://www.utstar.com/pcd/uts_downloads.aspx and put then in the No_ID folder as directed). Now my bootload screen says 2.02. When I tried to put the same ROM that was on my last 6700 on the replacement Error 100 Model ID Error came up and I had to quit. What is going on? HELP!!!! Switched from Standard to noID and it worked. But I didn't have to do that with my first phone. Why would this be? Last edited by Opera_Rat; 02-23-2008 at 04:58 AM. Reason: Figured it out. |
