I have exactly the same problem. I was able to burn 0.4 kitchen successfully, and then, i failed when i tried to add some OEMs, stuck at 99%.
After that, i have never been able to flash my phone with offical exe upgrade tool, says Error 100. Although i burned everything extracted from SPRINT official package with NOiD, and the phone worked well, i still have problem using the SPRINT official RUU to flash my phone. I am always bootloader 2.02. I am just wondering, how can i go back to factory status? I have backup from my new phone with BItPim, dont know if i can recover my phone with these data. Appreciate any help. Last edited by chinaox; 10-26-2007 at 08:59 AM. |

I am trying to do my part and find out where the setting is but i cannot data roam. I beleive this is because of the setting not being in the phone settings under roaming.

I pulled a few OEMs from the 3.5.1.0.4 kitchen like most of ya'll and so far so good! 24 hours without a reset... I do have 1 minor bug tho. if I press the IE button on the side of the phone it comes up and says "Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename" tried reselecting in the button setup to no avail and IE works fine when selected from the start menu... other then that good work VG, Helmi, and all the other fine people who worked so hard for WM6!

For what it's worth, your button 4 problem might be associated with Task Manager. By default that app likes to use button 4 to switch between tabs, and this can override IE if any part of Task Manager has been activated at startup. Your error message suggests that maybe a part (but not all) of Task Manager has been installed. Not sure, but at least this is one place to look. |

I just went into the Button Settings and changed button 4 to something else then changed it back to PIE. Soft reset and worked fine ever since.

The shortcut is just missing from the appbutton directory. Easy fix.

Try cooking a rom without any additional OEMs. This was happening to me and it turned out to be one of my OEM packages, even though the ROM would still build. Best, MJB |

I got the same error, and although I'm able to install other roms through the bootloader, my model ID is now a bunch of squares instead of PA10A1 like it should. This is unchanged regardless of any rom, including the official Sprint ones. I suspect the others affected have similar garbage in their model ID field. (Settings > System > Device Information > Identity)
My SuperCID did not get corrupted, so CID seems to be a different issue. |
