Make sure when you encode it that you go to the new directory. If you have made a ROM before it will cache the old directory.

So if you make a 6C rom and try to encode it, it will go back to 6B folder if you still have it. Then when you try and flash 6C it doesn't exist.

If you want to do it in the kitchen. open up "Optional_HTC_Home_Plugin_6tab_1_5_620_722" and edit the rgu file.

Change the dword value to 2
(Before)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Music Plug-In]
"MusicPlayer"=dword:00000001

(After)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Music Plug-In]
"MusicPlayer"=dword:00000002

Will give a try ..thank you KidGixxer

im learning about cooking your own rom and i find that after the ROM is flashed ...your Windows folder has A LOT of junk ..
image files, link files ect. that have been moved to other folders by “initflashfiles.txt” ...is there a way to auto clean them up after the install is done?

all the documents i have read instructs you on how you can create a directory and copy the files to another folder BUT the original file is left in Windows folder taking up space

I too am experiencing this. It also does this with videos not just audio files. Very strange.

Is your music/videos stored on your storage card? Mine are. I am wondering if it is a buffering issue with WMP (starting the audio/video before buffering).

Anyone else have this issue and know a fix for it (besides using a different media player)?

Does this install on PPC or on PC?

alright- i downloaded the kitchen and cooked one up using the buildos.exe. i then click the createROM.bat and go through the whole thing. when im finally at the last step when it asks me what type of bootloader do i have, i select the right one and the everything seems fine. its finally when i click "next" on the dialog box, it runs for a bit then crashes and says "A problem made the RUU stop working" or something of the sort. Can anyone help? I am running Vista but i did do the hack so it can flash roms. i can flash any other rom i have but this kitchen. someone help please!

Personally, my battery drain is very slow with WM6.06c. I believe this is because of one of the following: I turned off the HTC Home plugin, and I am no longer using the VistaHide battery meter. (I'm not sure which one is the problem, but I'm betting it is the VistaHide meter)

I used both of these with my AKU3.5.04 image, and my battery drain was very fast.

Last night, I left my phone on for 8 hours with both of the above mentioned apps disabled, and my battery power was still at 100% after 8 hours.

Standby seems to be fine but using any of the radios is what sucks it dry... phone/802.11, etc... It's not just an isolated occurrence.

I hope it's address in RC1.

Also, why connected to the PC and ActiveSync running, this build of WM6 is dog slow... 3.5 and the other WM6 seemed fine (slight hit but nothing that was a hindrance) but this is pretty bad.
