Ive been forcing myself to only build 6.5.X and Manila 2.5. keeping it fresh...

does your's autoupdate. this just started about 2 updates ago (in the last week). kitchen will run, but it goes through the build process way too fast and the ROM is unuseable. It is blocking something in the kitchen as malware or a virus now.

gonna try 23114 tonight after my antivirus scan is done (my email has been spamming people).
also adding alot of extras, so first few trys will probably be bombs.

here is my 21647 build I am using now, finally got a simple program to change icons post flash (my attempts at custom icons for folders failed horrible).

i found which file that avast doesn't like in the kitchen. it is a file for total commander called cecmd.exe.
it is calling it a win32: klone cio trojan
anyone got any ideas?

since I don't use total commander, wonder if I should just delete it???

its gonna take you a while to get the right reg edits that you want to configure it how you like. i literally just got my most recent custom rom to be exactly how i want it (start menu organized, custom background and splash, custom tabs, and ect...)

all i need to do now is learn how to do more random stuff and be good to go...

It wouldn't be possible for others to learn without people coming around and sharing their knowledge, so all thanks goes to people like you I go back and forth between cooking my own ROMs... I just don't have the time to keep up with the development cycle of a lot of this stuff and it's way too easy to fall behind.

I just get stuck asking a lot of questions because I know -someone- out there knows the answer and would have a much easier time finding a solution than I would. This thread has become a great example, it's got a ton of information in it, but it's so huge it's hard to find it. Still, no better way.

I guess my next project is learning about OTA updates so I can make changes on the device a bit more easily. Now where do I start

Apparently, mine hasn't updated since March. No errors, nothing. Nice to see that the automatic updates have been not updating automatically. Got that fixed, now i'll see what it says about files in the kitchen. I hope I didn't just screw myself over. Especially since I see that you found the file that it's catching. I'm not sure why it catching a Total Commander file would mess you up since you don't even include it (I do, so things might be interesting).

Guys, i have my eyes on 21648,24605??, and 22011. Really excited about 21648 and curious as hell about 24605. As soon as i can get these, i will have them up. As far as i know, you guys will be the first to run these. I haven't seen them mentioned anywhere on xda yet..

you can scan just that folder and see if it gives you the same result, right click on the totalcommander folder and scan it with avast.

I know I'm not the only one that has had this happen in the last week. Probably a false positive, but since I don't cook in total commander I just deleted it for now so I don't have to disable avast just to cook.
Sent the file to avast to look into so we'll see if they respond back.
