smiznith - is that romhdr file (and the payload) the only thing that has to be dropped into the ROM folder? I'm trying to figure out where my settings link went... time to try another sys I suppose.

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 3-5 ][ v1.6 R3 ][28232 / 23542 / 21893 / 21056] Calkulin's WVGA Kitc

updated sys files in my kitchen (thanks welrope) to 23559, 23114, 21899, and 21647 (waiting on 23644 and 21648 to "officially drop"). fixed romhdr and payload issue in rom folder... and ready for package updates

should be ready in exactly 15 mins...

EDIT: Link is ready http://www.mobileunderground.info/sm...SYS_041710.rar

your settings link is gone because in the new sprint its disabled... let me find the reg edit for you....... go to the link below and thank nate.spangler for the contribution...

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=6853

"also in this manila it hides the settings button in the start menu. if you want to unhide it just edit hklm\security\shell\startinfo\hidesettings and change it to "0" instead of "1"
"

also you can just make an app.reg file at the bottom of your ext's call it zzmy reg edits and put this:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=6792 (thanks goes to TMartin make sure you thank him)

Much appreciated. I figured it might be something as simple and if flashing around didn't try it I was going to try that fix. Maybe consider making that default?

Oh, and one more thing I've noticed missing so far - no bluetooth icon when bluetooth is turned on. It's probably the .gif files that are just missing, but I haven't checked and don't have an extra set around. Only have one 160gb HDD to keep all my stuff on right now

I had it enabled, and I see the icons there... but paper clip? I must have missed something.

Anyway I've got tsowen's task bar icons enabled, but it shouldn't matter. Basically I've got the kitchen settings stock. I can try it again with the new kitchen if you prefer... may make troubleshooting it a little easier.

Edit: The icons didn't make it to the phone post-flash, nor does taskbarmgr.dll show up on the phone via resco's search.
