Anyway I've got tsowen's task bar icons enabled, but it shouldn't matter. Basically I've got the kitchen settings stock. I can try it again with the new kitchen if you prefer... may make troubleshooting it a little easier.

Edit: The icons didn't make it to the phone post-flash, nor does taskbarmgr.dll show up on the phone via resco's search.

my bad, didnt explain it right... if you go back to the sub-forum and look at the kitchen thread, there is a paperclip you can click on that will show all the attachements in the entire thread... ill make it simple and link you there..

I'm so surprised to have a ROM that runs for now, all of my last attempts resulted in lockups within a few hours... and I still can't find a ROM that's what I want. It's pretty disheartening to be stuck the way I was before... maybe I'll be able to contribute something finally too. Thanks again.

Edit: You had that included in your exts package but you had a folder inside of a folder - it didn't seem to get cooked into the ROM that way. I moved all the contents up one level in the folder and poof - it made it in the ROM and now the bluetooth icons work. Whee! I finally get to experiment now that all of the majorly wrong stuff is corrected.

man im proud of you. it took me about 6 months to get my first rom (on my diamond) up and running right.. now i can contribute with 2 years of cooking

its gonna take you a while to get the right reg edits that you want to configure it how you like. i literally just got my most recent custom rom to be exactly how i want it (start menu organized, custom background and splash, custom tabs, and ect...)

all i need to do now is learn how to do more random stuff and be good to go...

Yeah.. I hear ya. Ive been cooking since the Touch Pro 1 days... and still suck.

When I start to think im getting the hang of it... I build such a horrid ROM that i just walk away for awhile.

Im back now... and still working on it. IM WAY ahead of myself though... Im sitting on a pile of sound files for a custom rom... but I still havent finalized how I want that ROM to run.

*Sigh... One step at a time, Right?

I have avast on my laptop and it hasn't caused a problem yet. Just my 2 cents.

no custom ROMs here, besides what welrope has linked in his sig.
this is a custom kitchen thread, you download the kitchen, or a mirror for that matter, and make your own custom ROM with the ingredients you want.

nope, 28xxx is 6.5.x build, so is 23xxx and 216xx builds.
those are the ones I have used, but I don't know about the others.

your right bro, 218xx and future releases of 219xx will be 6.5 210xx is 6.1 and most everything else is 6.5.x
