I try to get back threaded messaging but it doenst work anymore so can anyone point to what to do as I am on latest rom and energy disabled threading for pim backup

I don't know why you are having issues, all you should do is flash the phone, hard reset again, provision the phone for sprint (start>tools>carrier provision) and soft reset and that should be it, that and the sprint keyboard fix is the only thing i install after a flash.

So you scrolled all the way to the right to settings>other>SMS threading and tried changing it their and it wouldn't work? What rom are you using? Could try restoring your pim back-up and then switching to threaded messaging and see if that works, let us know how things go.

... start, htc folder, htc sms probably doesn't do what your looking for right??..
