I want the new Co0kie but I dont have time/desire in my schedule to mess with a buggy phone and reflash all the time. All I have seen since like June releases is complaints of fairly severe issues!?!
Originally, I wondered how so many people could be so enthusiastic about the Energy ROMs as mine appeared to be VERY unstable. After a little reading I came across a post that said to delete the \Application Data\HTC folder from the storage card between ROM installs. I did this and I have been a happy user since and now I know why so many people like this ROM.

I'll quote this just to get it out there again. I missed this bit of info myself but I see how it could cause problems.

And yes, NRG is my favorite too I believe. Although, I would prefer to have fewer updates and more stability/private testing.

Thank you for that info but the link that i provided takes you to a NEWER (and official HTC) SMS upgrade. It is faster but i can not get the MMS to work with the settings the person provides there. SMS works great but I use MMS a lot. Currently no one can figure out how to get Spring MMS to work on the upgrade. Guess it is time to play the waiting game

My problem with the last few ROMs is that right from the start, before i even have a chance to add anything or change anything i have problems; if i soft reset it will go off but will not come back on and if I let the screen go off then hitting the power button will not bring it back on. I have to hit the reset button.

Hiting the reset button in both situations works but only until it goes off again.

I have read though most of the thread but do not see that anyone else is having this problem. I have installed other ROMs and the problem goes away.

Any ideas?
according to the information next to your avatar your on AT&T, you do realize this is the CDMA thread, there's a different thread for the GSM version, check the first page and it has a link to the GSM thread.

This quote is taken from the first post of that thread over at xda: "If you have ArcSoft installed, this will install, but you might lose ArcSofts Messaging Functionality"

Nrg does have arcsoft installed

when using earlier versions of nrgs roms, arcoft (which nrg didn't include at the time) fixed mms issues on nrg's roms

this updated version of arcsoft that nrg uses currently doesn't fix the mms issue for sprint... that cab I posted earlier is needed.

in conclusion I think you'll have to wait for nrg to include this new htc messaging client into his rom, at which point people will start trying to develop a cab to make the mms work
