could be an error with your storage card.
always make a back up of you storage card details on your computer as well..
learnt that the hard way...
try to copy the pim data onto your computer if possible, format the storage card , recopy onto the storage card and try restore again...

It's cooked in, so it should re-appear upon soft-reset. Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong

ditch PIM...its old...use microsoftmyphone...way better option IMO...

Either your storage card is bad, or you have the TP2 plugged into USB on your computer and are using it as a drive off your computer. When plugged into USB on your computer and configured as a disk drive, it "disconnects" the storage card from being seen on your phone.

So it seems as if I'm running into some issues since I flashed Energy ROM about two weeks ago.

First of all, it seems like it uses so much memory. After a soft reset, everything gets booted up and when it's all finished, it shows 76% memory in use. This is before opening any other programs. Is this normal? Also, it uses so much memory, I can't have more than one application open or browse multiple web pages because it says I run out of memory. I run cleeanRAM usually after browsing or whatever and it's still at a high usage.

Another issue I have, this one bugs me a lot more, sometimes I turn the screen on, slide the slider off to the side, and then nothing happens. Sense doesn't go to the home screen, it shows the lock slid all the way to one way but no home screen. Everything else is still functional, I have the x in the corner, I can go to the Start menu and open/access all my programs, just if I try to go back to the home screen, nothing happens. I tried disabling and re-enabling Sense from the Today screen, but I end up having to do a soft reset every time.

Can you provide more information on what NRG rom you flashed...ie cookie, max, 21xxx, 23xxx... etc??? Also... did you task 29 before you flashed???

Which enery Rom (date/build) are you Running. I experiance the same issue with jun19th/jun22nd roms. But I have not experiance it in jun 26.
BTW I always do the flash dance and use 23569 cookie rom.

I'm not sure what folder gabbythe1 deleted. I don't see a 'carrier provisioning' folder on my device.

Regardless, a soft-reset will not make anything reappear. It will take a hard-reset or reflash, both of which will wipe out data and installed programs, so you'll have to setup your device again afterward.

If what was deleted is the shortcut to the carrier provisioning app, that app is in \Windows\CarProv.exe. the shortcut could be recreated to point to that.

I gave the various battery life extension hacks a try but my battery life is still very poor. I am running the June 27 version of Cookie 23569 and my battery seems to last less than half a day with only moderate usage.

I usually run the Cookie 21907 variant of the Energy ROM and am used to getting well over a day of use from a single charge - I guess I will have to switch back to the 21907 branch.

I'm using the 6/19 release with Cookie Home tab editor. Build 21907.

What is the "flash dance"?
