Is there a cab where we can install the standard NRG taskbar to the Dinik rom? The reflection on the upper part of the Dinik icons on the small taskbar icons make them hard to read. I like the Dinik rom except the taskbar kind of sucks with that built in glare on icons that small.

seems like the answer to this question is more on user experience.
as we have noticed indivisual phones (diff manufacturing dates) may or may not cause SOD's / hangups.
i have been using the 23xxxx series for quite some time now and no major problems so far.
the 21xxxxx series have also been pretty stable imho....
best would be to flash and see the rom you like.
stock speed is equally good on both roms.depends on how much you load the rom finally!!!!!!!

use the pagepool changer to open up the .nbh file and change it before you flash. attached is the file. the file is a .exe, the webpage won't let me upload .exe so i renamed it .cab, so download the file and then rename it to .exe before using it.

I've had the same issues since CHT 1.8 was released. I moved over to the version without CHT (Energy.RHODCDMA.23569.Sense2.5.Jun.11.7z). Not as much fun, nor flexible, but at least it NEVER locks up for me. Actually it feels much faster and more responsive...

Thanks for the response. I am a more advanced user and fully understand the basic steps you can take to reduce memory consumption. Weather animation is always off, my email is on an exchange account (but I have not even set it up on this flash yet), no BT or wifi. Yes I get an out of memory error message.

moreover, I'm running at about 10 or 15% less ram usage with weather animations on and lots of widgets using MaxSense! I've been running my phone hard: bing, google maps and nanogroove all open using taskfacade to switch between and i always sit under 85% ram usage

Good point on whether I used task29 or not. Maybe I should have included my flashing procedure. Pretty standard stuff but here you go.

1. task29
2. flash energry ROM
3. clear storage
4. provision

Also keep in mind that the only thing I have done in the last 24 hours besides make calls and do some texting is setup Microsoft MyPhone to sync contacts only. So, 24 hrs in with barely any use I'm at 88% memory consumption. If I were to attempt setting anything else up, I'm going to run into problems.

As for MaxSense, I'm not convinced yet. I don't think it is quite there yet.




I'm just looking for maybe some tricks you guys have picked up to reduce the memory consumption. I can't be the only one frustrated with it.
