Yes it has been addressed before. go to your comm manager then turn off data connection first, then while tethered, turn on internet sharing.

I just downloaded the may22nd cookie rom and well,

would anyone be able to help me in removing this pesky arrow it keeps showing up in my dialer screen?

I have installed the May 1st, 2010 version of Titanium. When I create a new SMS/MMS message and I enter names to bring up the contacts mobile number it also brings up their home/office/fax/etc. number as well. Worst of all, it doesn't specify which one is which, so unless I have it memorized, I have to guess which one is the mobile number or go into my contacts to look it up, which is incredibly annoying.

How can I make it so it only brings up the MOBILE number when I'm attempting to SMS/MMS someone???

I did search the thread for an answer to this question but I could not find anything. Please help!

This might interest some of you:

i ran across this information and wanted to share it with this forum.
With this knowledge, you can highly customize the way your phone rings:

By editing this registry key:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\Script=

script values:
a = activate device
cN = set volume to N in percentage max volume
fN = flash notification LED for N seconds
p = play ringtone. Note that this will play the ringtone all the way through before continuing
with the next code.
r = repeat. Note that this should be the last code in your Script string, if used at all.
vN = vibrate for N seconds
wN = wait for N seconds. Note that the device will wait this long before continuing with the
next code.

Examples:
Script = “apw3r”
‘activate device, play ringtone, wait 3 seconds, repeat’

Script = "ac33pc67pc100p”
‘active device, set volume to 33%, play ringtone, set volume to 67%, play ringtone, set volume to 100%, play ringtone

going to upgrade to the 5/22 cookie rom soon

2 issues I have had in the recent past
-------------------
1. no good way to minimize the on screen keyboard after I use it and want to see the rest of the screen
2. the only lockup I have had has been when connecting my phone to my desktop. Sometimes when I disconnect, my phone is locked.

This is not criticism. only 2 data points from my experience.

That arrow is to backspace/erase while dialing a number. I wondered why it appears that half the button is missing (only half of the button is showing), same as in your screen shot.

I'm on 5/22 GTX 23569

As for #1, if you tap the further left most part of the on screen keyboard button it will close, if you're tapping the right most part of that button, it will open the keyboard menu. Strange, but that's been my experience.

Also, just for your future settings sleuthing, Total Commander has a nice 'find file' feature that let's you search for files changed in the last x minutes/hours/days/etc. If you change a setting somewhere and don't see any reflection in the registry, search for files changed recently and you'll likely find where the settings are stored.

Sweet. I've been using WinDiff on a daily basis. To know that I can now find files as well as registry entries, I feel like I can rule the world!

so you have the same button issue? how can we remove it?
