Have you tried disabling HTC? Thats probably the best way to go if youre having these kinda issues.

It's not just possible but a fact you can do it without disabling HTC. I can send and recieve MMS through WM messenger with the new arcsoft and elephant's fix, but still do all my sms-ing through HTC.

Yeah thats pretty much what I said. Still the best way to go is disabling HTC. I can do the exact same thing because the disable htc cab doesnt actually get rid of HTC anymore it just makes HTC not the default for MMS so its not as clunky. I dont use the elephant fix so Im not sure if in that fix youre doing that anyway but I know that if you leave HTC enabled the only way you can get to WM to send MMS is going to outlook then flicking back to get to sms/mms, which is adding an extra step thats not needed, or sending straight from your photo album which is pretty clunky itself especially if you want to send more than one image in one message.

I dont know what you mean by separate apps but if you install the disable HTC it doesnt get rid of HTC completely just disables the MMS sending part.

K this is what i had working before i got irritated & decided to start from scratch this weekend.

edited my settings in regedit file.
Got sms working on it's own sending text & pics just fine.
Got mms sending & receiving text, sending pics, but not receiving pics, within mms & no use of sms.

EDIT: the mms that the pic was supposed to be in came back.. just blank and not in the sms. I dont want it in the sms. too many hoops to jump thru just to view
