u tried doing a soft reset? i have those alert problem with the sms but it goes away after a while... if that doesnt help try taking out the battery and wait a few second and then inserting and startiing up the phone... shud fix it for u!

also i need the same default background in the landscape mode as well... anyone has it? or know where i can get it frm? Thanx

Is there a way to flash this NOT from the SD card? Like I downloaded the 21889 package, but all the files don't seem to be there for an computer connected flash. Is this the 'normal' way, connecting it to your comp to flash? Does this rom not support that?

i flashed it thru activesync from the pc!!!
i suggest u try 23518... its faster then 21889...!!!

Ok, thanks for the suggestion, but how exactly did you flash from the PC? Like what did you click on?


It seems like this is set up to be SD card flash, and didn't know if there was an (easy) to flash from the PC.

Where are the icons for the Start Menu Folders located? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

When the clock flips the numbers get stuck for a second and it looks all messed up. Anyway to fix that or replace it with the stock white clock?

i see that issue on everyone's roms (at least all that i've tried so far anyway). including ones that i've cooked for myself.

After you unzip the .RAR file, the folder it creates should include a program named ROMUpdateUtility.exe. Just run this program, and it should install the ROM.

I was using the 23518 from the 14th, and was experiencing problems with ringtones, like they didn't work. A few other people have mentioned it, and have the other people that have noticed it running the 14th or the 20th ROM? I was thinking of moving to the 20th, but might wait for the next rev if ringtones are addressed. Looks like another ROM saw the same issue and was able to resolve (though I haven't tested yet), so I'm hoping it's not tied to the 23518 code and only MS can fix it...
